My best "TOY" of 2013...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The size is good and the screen quality is very good, but it's a whole new desktop world and takes more than a little getting used to. For example, if I click on the "mail" on the start screen, I get old emails, not the most recent ones, so I really need to log into the main internet portal to get current info. The touch screen is also not as responsive all the time as it could be...

Great for School
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this for grad school and it's great. I take notes with the included pen in Microsoft Office One Note and my notes are immediately synced online. I can also use all the various websites for my classes/their textbooks without any issues and when I want to take a break it can play PC games as well.

Worked great at week long Conference
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Took it to a conference for a week and while others were chasing down wall plugs I was sitting comfortably and able to take notes and connect to my office and support our users both through VPN and RDP.

Great design and functionality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really amazing device. Bridges the gap between a table and a laptop. Easy to use for quick tasks via the instant on ability - don't need to boot up each time. Highly recommended!!

Expected More
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this and am going to return it. By the time you buy the Surface, keyboard, maybe a USB hub and other accessories you're in about the $1,200.00 range. I know it has a i5 processor but I wasn't impressed with speed like the reviews said I would be. I didn't like the floppy keyboard and only one USB port. Plus, by the time you add the keyboard it weighs over two pounds and one half pounds. I ended up getting an ASUS 11.6 inch laptop for less than half of the Surfce, ($449) and like the Surface I can hook it up to my big monitor, attach a keyboard and mouse, and its just as functional as the Surface. The i3 processor is plenty quick and when I want to use it as a traditional laptop the keyboard is solidly attached. FWIW, the Asus only weighs a few ounces more than the keyboard attached Surface. For me, it's a win win

Fantastic product... Way beyond my expectations!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.MS has got something right for once.... What a great product! I knew it'd passed when I picked up the Surface Pro instead of the iPad to show off a new product to my work colleagues... and the wows just killed it for me... Great functionality, great feel, can't fault it!

Best purchase in a long time
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The surface pro is just the device I have been looking for. So tired of hauling both my laptop and tablet around and with the ability to run full windows applications this is perfect.. If you have not used Windows 8 on a touchscreen you need to give it a try. Also happen to run Starcraft 2 well ;)

Excellent Tablet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This table is fantastic. I highly recommend dishing out the extra cash to get a full operating system on a tablet. People who will bash the product are the Apple fanatics.

A great overall device
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Surface Pro is an excellent, all-around device that is powerful enough to do everything I need and at the same time, small enough to carry around from meeting to meeting. The Surface Pro is a bit on the heavy side, but being this is a first iteration from Microsoft, I expect that each version will get better and better. The pen input is excellent and is perfect for taking notes or making reminders. The durability of the device is extremely solid and I feel very comfortable with its overall construction. I highly recommend the Surface Pro.

Fine for a Student
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a normal macbook/ipad user, but due to certain software limitations, I picked this up when it was on sale at a steal or at least imo. The responsiveness was surprising as well as the startup. Coming from Mac OS X, Windows 8.1 is not as intuitive as I hoped it would be, but after understanding how it is design help tremendously. I would say the learning curve to really know how to use and be productive is probably a couple of days at a few hours a day. Overall it was better than I was expecting. Missing a star because of the microphone function

Small and Powerful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can't add much more then what the 75 positive reviewers already have said. Also the digital responsive touchscreen opens many possibilities that can't be done on the average capacitive touchscreen tablet or laptop.

Excellent computer in tablet size

Excellent Tablet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first tablet. Exceeds all my expectations. Was easy to set up. I downloaded Norton's 360 very easy. It screams between applications. Much easier than a laptop. I think Microsoft made a great product.

Very Pleased
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace my 4 year old laptop. Surprisingly, this device has replace my desktop after I got a few accessories for it After getting this, I go to my iPad only for those cannot-do-without apps. I'm very pleased with this device. It impressed me with its pen input and Windows metro interface is refreshing. Skype calls have been good. However, I find video/ audio recording to be poor.

Its becoming my daily computing device
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Surface was pretty much exactly what I expected and more. It is light and battery life has never been a issue yet. The size and portability are amazing. With the combination of the type cover and mouse a person can really forget they are using a touch screen device. That being said though, the touch screen is quite spectacular. it is very sensitive and interface makes complete sense. The gestures were very easy and quick to learn.

Great Tablet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the tablet. It is better than I thought it would be. I use my apple accessories to do PowerPoint and watch movies on a tv. With a few mods I could probably use it as my primary laptop.

Small footprint device with high-end parts
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It took me 2 weeks to get my hands on this--I have a friend who has a Taichi which, although nice, is bulkier. I enjoy having a device with an easily-detachable keyboard.
