I was looking for a tablet, but then was shown the Surface Pro 2. It had the capabilities that were actually more suited to what I needed in a device. I also had a Windows based phone and used Windows on my PC. Knowing everything was compatible and I would have less of a learning curve was a big plus for me. So far, I just love it. Music, TV, files and all of the apps make it so handy. I am still learning, but - it is only getting better!

I am happy with the fact that I did not have to change operating systems or learn apple stuff. I can run my Microsoft Office. They key board is great to just snap off and on. Only major thing wrong is the number and types of apps available compared with the IPAD. My wife is having too much fun on her IPAD. The screen is a bit too small.

Love, love, love it. Takes the place of my laptop. I take it to meetings, do my lesson plans on it, check email, and can use it for all the programs I need for my job as a first grade teacher.

After a faulty initial unit the replacement has been functioning well. There was no difficulty in returning the initial unit. The product is a fitting product from carrying around a heavy laptop and accomplishes all the needed tasks for college that my son has.

Had the first RT version which I loved. Took a couple days to get used to extra weight. Couldn't stream from my dish hopper in browser on the RT but can on this. Like the micro sd slot on side.

This was a gift for my daughter to get her off my iPad and computer. She loves it. It is portable and easy for her to manage. Since the OS is the same as my computer, she was easily able to switch over and navigate the system. We have already traveled with it and it was convenient to tuck into a bag.

I am a long time Mac device user. I live in their eco system. For the last few years Apple products have lost their shine. I consider myself a creative and idea man. I need a device where I can Quickly jot down notes and to also keep it all tidy especially with my poor organizational skills. ONENOTE & the stylus will fix all that. As far as websurfing excellent. Because it is a PC Windows 8 operating system you can actually make use of all your programs. You will see yourself using a combo attack on the touch screen when you need to scroll, pinch or zoom into something. When I am seated I use a mouse and when I want to work or surf the web I can leave the mouse behind. I do recommend purchasing a Typecover 2 or the new PoweCover. It will keep your screen safe and also make it useful when typing.

I was hesitate to switch to surface, but love the fact it works on Windows. I can use a jump drive and it has plenty of storage.

This is a very good tablet for the purpose. We were looking for a tablet that has good encryption, yet run Microsoft Office. This fit the bill. It's very pricey compared to other tablets, but does come with USB. The only other problem is the weight.

I am still in the process of setting up office on this surface pro 2. I really enjoy that it is very portable yet powerful enough to use as a laptop.

My husband wanted the Surface Pro 2 and when I bought it for him he just loved it. I also purchased the extended warranty that includes the Geek Squad technical support which has been helpful. It's lighter for him to carry than a laptop, and does everything a laptop does. Just wish the price was a little lower.

this is a great device, it did end up getting a virus but that was able to be taken care of

It's a good overall tablet but on the pricier side for the newer model! I went with the pro 2 because I thought it would have more features and I'm fairly disappointed in that aspect anyways, especially since the surface pro 1 dropped on price dramatically and pretty much has the same features and functions!

I upgraded from the older surface pro and this one is a perfect update. The battery life is much better and it seems smoother overall. I like the multiple angles to the hinge. It is very well done.

If you are looking for a True mobile laptop replacement Surface Pro 2 is without competition. Lightening fast, great screen resolution, light in weight, perfect in size and business app proficient... you can't go wrong!

I found this tablet to be very powerful. I use it for personal use and for my business. I would recommend spending the extra to get a keyboard if you are going to do much typing. I also purchased the windows office to make this complete.

I wanted a tablet replacement for my laptop PC for road trips. I have been a satisfied Windows user since v.3.1. The Surface is a very nice evolution. Migrating my work from the road, the office, and home is seamless.

I'm a teacher and I bought this because it has the pen that writes like an actual pen and not like a big crayon like the iPad. I can edit my students' papers right on the screen and then quickly email it back to them. I don't have to carry around stacks of papers anymore. I also use it for streaming movies and playing games, It does everything I want it to do. It's so much better than an iPad, I can't ever believe I had an iPad. Plus, I can run all of my publisher's other teaching programs that I wouldn't be able to use on an iPad.

Great tablet for movies and business applications. Especially when you add the type cover. The Windows app store is very behind the times as far as apps. BUT! you don't have to use apps exclusively on this tablet! You can install full programs because it uses Windows 8.1 OS.

Excellent window tablet for traveling. Provides many features of a desktop in a small form factor. Excellent display quality and battery life. Only regret is not buying a model with a bigger hard drive. Plan on purchase the new model when it comes out.
