4 YEARS AND STILL KICKING!!!!!!!

I'm planning on purchasing another. I wish I could afford the Studio, but until I can this is my top choice for a laptop.

Compact, light weight and more durable than some reviews claim. This is the 2nd surface we've owned and only bought it because we wanted to upgrade the first one and give it to our son as his first laptop. Highly recommend it!

Good performance, Premature failure.

I used and liked the surface keyboard and connected to 2 external monitors using a Dell USB-C dock. The surface drove the 2 external monitors along with the surface monitor. The Surface failed after 3 years. The Geek Squad technician told me that a 3 year life span is not unusual for a surface. My wife is using the same model surface using the surface dock and surface power supply. Her unit is still performing well, so I wonder if powering via the USB port was a contributing factor for the premature (in my opinion) failure.
