Lightyears ahead of the original Surface Pro

Size, weight, screen, battery, speed, & power are all better than the original. I guess it is to be expected for a 7th generation machine. Only downside is the SP8 is now out and I'm wanting the upgrade for even better battery life & power. It also has an SSD that you can upgrade yourself.

I ended up using this to replace my regular laptop after it died, and I have not been disappointed, much faster, and very efficient. The only problem I face is keeping it at an upright position that i like.

I started a new job and they supplied me with one and it was love at first sight. I bought one the next week. The cover (keyboard) just feels good. I don't even treat it like a tablet. It is so user friendly, even a novice would love the functionality. This is has got to be the BEST purchase I have ever made with respect to a laptop/tablet and I caught it on sale too! #Winning

Compact power tool

The build quality is excellent. The i5 processor is fast and I can multitask within reason. The screen is beautiful and immersive. Battery life is good once you figure out how to optimize your settings. I would download a third party battery app to get better gauge of your remaining battery life. I definitely recommend this tablet especially if you can catch it on sale.
