I returned my i5 and opted for the i3 to save money. I also lost 4GB, no biggie! I plan to by an external SD micro storage to compensate for lost storage. If you’re looking for the less expensive option. This is a great choice. If you do ALOT! And need more functionality and storage this is your product. I love my surface!

I love my surface pro. I had a surface 3 for my masters and that was great. When I starting working remotely it would not charge (had for 5 years). Upgraded and my surface pro is great for remote work. The sales associate was so helpful in getting the best deal for my dollar. I really appreciated his knowledge.

So far so good. The computer seems slow but does everything I want it to do. The battery life is excellent, all day running. Hard disk seems small but after loading everything in it I had 70G left. I also install a micro sd card and the computer treats it like a extra hard drive. overall very happy

Owning an iPad Pro and a Galaxy Tab, the surface is a breath of fresh air. It handles anything you throw at it with versatility you haven’t seen before. I’m very happy with my surface and would continue buying products in the surface family.

I needed a laptop for nursing school. Started with an HP Envy x360, but it was way too large for my desk space and added too much weight to my backpack. Classmates had issues with their iPad pros not loading our study sites, so I chose to get a surface pro 7. No regrets! The only issue I've ever had is controlling the screen brightness, but a software update fixed that. It's even survived a couple drops off my desk with no issues. I highly recommend purchasing the surface pen along with this computer. I take notes on digital copies of class power points, and it saves me a ton of paper and search time.

    Best Laptop I’ve Ever Used

I’ve been working from home the last 2 months and this laptop has been a lifesaver. It was easy to set up, adjusts easily, and the screen is fantastic. If it came with a keyboard and mouse I would’ve given it 5 stars, but since I had to buy everything separately, it gets a 4. It’s rather difficult to use as a laptop without a mouse, since you can’t easily right click.

What bad is there to say about a surface? This unit is amazing and Quick. Its office and home used and a company would really have to show me they are way better before Id switch. but it all depends on the purpose you use it for

My wife needed a new computer and had become accustomed to a touch screen, folding laptop. I wanted to make sure she’d have something that will provide the functionality she likes and the longevity of a high end device. So far we feel we made a good choice, and it was on sale when we got it.

I needed a new computer for personal use and I’ve seen this advertised. After some thought about it, i chose the surface pro for its portability and ease of use. Set up was easier then my old laptop and I really enjoy the ability to walk around the house with it in tablet mode.

Surface pro 7 has been exactly what I have been looking for. Easy to use, durable, and portable. My children have also enjoyed it, as it is easy to navigate. I’ve had it for about 8 months and the only issues I seem to have is the charging cord from time to time. I highly recommend this product.

Surface Pro 7 does NOT disappoint

I'm in my late 50's, technologically challenged & recently purchased a Microsoft Surface Pro 7. The Surface Pro 7 has to be the easiest set up to learn since I began working with computers in 1990. The Artist in me has been dreaming about this since I first heard of the Surface Pro. I have NOT been disappointed!

    Slower, and poor touch recognition.

I had the Surface Pro 6 and I sold it last month in anticipation of the new 7. Granted, I've used it for less than 5 hours, but this one is substantially slower than the 6 pro. Touch recognition is neither great nor accurate. Boot up (after the initial updates) takes a full 4.5 seconds longer than the 6. This might be a product of having the new security protocols turned on? As of now the only programs I have installed are office and standard notes, not my regular suite of programs (Adobe CS6, a couple web dev packages, a VPN, and a couple minor productivity stand alone). At present I'm not ready to return it, and with all thing tech you eventually get used to the new normal. But right now there is no hiding my disappointment in the productivity losses, especially in light of a two step processor gain, moving from DDR3 to 4, and getting USB-C (allbeit crippled at 3.1 over lightning). I was going to hold off for the Surface Pro X, but the demo I tried at BestBuy was slow, glitchy, the pen was either not set up properly or was just bad. It is also assumed that you'll be buying the keyboard and pen set, specifically because of the way it prompts you to interact with it. They only had a Word demo installed, which was more of a presentation than an application. Even that demo caused display issues. If Apple had an option than ran full applications and not only designated app solutions, I would have to give it a go. It's clear that Google has given up on hardware and is now starting to team up and allow others to carry the tech advancement load, so no options or alternatives from them either. In short, is this and the X are the Microsoft standard bearers for the holiday season, then I say bah humbug. Ps. Even on the review it wont accept touch input on the "it's ok to display how long you've owned thus product" radio button. Frustrating.

I really like the capabilities of The Surface. I can work on research, take notes, and write. The touchscreen allows for me to enlarge the screen to ensude graphing details are accurate. The light weight is definitely a plus. I wish it came with a basic keyboard.

At first we were a little hesitant because the appearance of this machine was so unusual. We were also a little skeptical because it did not come with its own keypad. We weren’t very happy about having to buy so many accessories to make using the machine easy, but it was a solid purchase.

I had the previous generation SP6. This new generation bring a USB C port for faster connections. I love these devices. They do just about anything you need them to besides gaming unless you use a streaming service like PS Now. I recommend the I5 for an above average user and the I7 for the heaviest users.

Love it. I do a lot photography/editing while I travel in the military, so this is great for getting things done on the go. With the keyboard cover, a UAG case, screen protector, and the pen I’m all set. Wasn’t sure if it’d worth it at first, but I am 100% sold on this device.
