This tablet feels as smooth as a laptop and works great as a tablet. The only real issue I have is that the WiFi adapter likes to default the mimo power save mode to auto smps which fails to turn the WiFi adapter back on after the surface wakes up from sleep. Changing that to setting to “no smps” fixes the issue but requires a restart. Real annoying but not a deal breaker. I could probably trade the tablet in and it would fix the issue permanently but I have learned to live with it.

For the 90% of the time when I'm using it as a laptop, I forget it's not a traditional one. The power, heat, battery life, etc. are all great. I'm especially impressed with the keyboard which defies all expectations. And to have the flexibility to turn it into a tablet for extra mobility is a huge bonus.
