Battery life is absolutely disappointing, it hurts my feelings how short it is, I only use the surface for writing essays and watching youtube and it only lasts like 3-4 hours of sparse usage. sad! Whole point of a laptop is to have reliable battery life when out of the house.

I love that this computer is protbale and fits just about anywhere. However the resolution on images is not that great and you have to buy everything for this tablet, which are not cheap. You have to buy the stylus and keyboard separately. Crazy that the stylus is more expensive than the keyboard...

Got this as a gift for my boyfriend. He is in construction and needs to write a lot of reports when he is out in the field. He can draw layouts and type of reports when needed. He was previously using my MacBook Air and he said this is a big better upgrade. He said it’s the best tablet ever!

Can't say I'm amazed by the experience. It's a beautiful device but a bit overpriced. Details below: If you love fiddling with your device constantly - this is the one for you. If you prefer something a bit more pick-up and go - try the Surface laptop (or laptops in general). So, take my criticism with a grain of salt as I'm openly admitting to preferring laptops or any device that is all one piece. Note: I purchased the 128gb version with an alcantara poppy red type cover + pen. I decided the Surface Pro 7 just wasn't for me and may end up going with a laptop. This is due to the fact that the price ($900+ for everything that I'd need) didn't match the overall package. Software is still very unrefined in tablet mode, apps are lacking, performance is just okay, and I think the annoyance of so many moving parts + software drama (folding/unfolding kickstand + flappy type cover + pen that would fall off + poor palm rejection or general software bugs) just contributed to the frustration of the device. I just want something that is wholly solid and can be used without much fuss - thus why I prefer to sacrifice any hopes of sticking with this tablet experience and move on.

I have had multiple laptops over the years. From HP to Dell I have tried them all. When I was shopping for something with a small footprint I could take to and from work, I came across the Surface Pro 7. After using this laptop for a month now, I can confidently say it is the best purchase I have made. You won't regret buying this!

It is great I used to use my 17 inch gaming laptop for my university work but it was so heavy and hard to carry around but the surface is great for university work you might use a external hard if you need more space

This is the best tablet I have ever had. I upgraded from a surface tabS5. I had a surface pro3 before that. I was happy to get back to a surface. You can install multiple OS. Thunderbolt would have been much better so you could dock it and turn it into a gaming pc. But I only use this as a tablet/second laptop. Really great for comics. If you want a real Ipad you can install OSX if you really want.
