Intermittent WiFi and Bluetooth Connection Issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Initially I really wanted to keep this Microsoft Surface. I liked its versatility, being able to use it exactly as I would a laptop, and as a tablet as well, along with the ease of attaching or disengaging the keyboard, and having the built-in kickstand was a plus. The graphics and clarity of the screen was good, although not as crystal clear and defined as the screens of comparable Samsung or Apple iPad tablet screens. Responsiveness of the touchscreen was also not as good, but adequate. I did appreciate the inclusion of a microSD slot for easy and cheap memory expansion, and a USB-C port that can also charge the tablet along with the included proprietary charger. The proprietary charger connects with a nice magnetic-type connector which I really liked. There is also a standard USB-A port. However, upon using the tablet for several days, I noticed a steady pattern of WiFi and Bluetooth connection issues. The WiFi connection would slow down considerably and I would have to wait a while after clicking on anything, and all the waiting and buffering became intolerable. And I know for a fact it was not an issue on our end because we have fast internet speeds and all of our other devices were having no connection problems whatsoever—streaming on our tv’s, our family all using our tablets, phones, laptops, etc.—no issues at all, just problems with this Surface. Bluetooth connection was also bad, whenever we would try to use any of our wireless headphones. The style, brand, price range, type of headphones did not matter—we tried our AirPods, our $300+ wireless headphones, $15 wireless headphones, all to no avail. The connection would frequently stutter as we listened to music, or give static. In the end I returned this Microsoft Surface mainly because of the internet connection issues—no matter the other pluses of its use, form factor and configurations, having an unreliable internet connection is a definite dealbreaker.

Poor battery life and performance not great
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its ok but not great. I had 2 choices this or the iPad Pro. I chose this and honestly now i think that iPad would had been a better choice. Don't expect the pen and writing experience as smooth as the iPad. It has horrible battery life too.

Great for video
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a gift for our son who does a lot of photo edits/videos with go pro. Decent price range at time and seems to do everything he needs. Bot sure as he gets more advanced, what he will need but for beginners this is definitely great quality.

Works great for college students
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good, I wish it was more comfortable when using on my lap. But honestly it gets the job done, I did find that it lagged when I had multiple tabs open in the web browser. I would recommend it for college, it has enough power to get through a long day. And connects perfectly to wireless headphones and printers.

College kid review
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product works really well for what I’m using it for (college student) I give it a 4 mostly because there is a lot to learn when knowing how to use it and I wish it was a little bit more simplistic. It’s great for taking to class or work and the battery life is pretty good, so it is pretty good in value.

I had high expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a laptop for everyday needs. It was the surface pro vs MacBook Air. I purchased the Surface Pro 7 04/2020 because it had touchscreen and a pen. I get the pen... it doesn't work. Best Buy switches it out. Still doesn't work..$99 pen. I call Microsoft they want to switch the pen out for me. GREAT! I don't want another issue so I just go to Amazon, find a $35 "pen" it woks brilliantly. Within a few months the screen starts inverting colors (around November 2020). I call Microsoft and they switch it out. Customer service was good!! Get the surface pro and immediately, started having issues with connecting to Wifi. The Wifi would just disconnect or I couldn't find the network. It seemed like restarting the computer worked, So I lived with it. Then last week, it won't connect to Wifi at all. I run to the store, get an adapter that allows me to plug in my ethernet cable. I try uninstalling the driver, reinstalling. Master reset, resetting the network a few times, I tried everything according to Microsoft Forums. Nothing... I'm not the most technological person but goodness. And of course its out of warranty. Really disappointing. I loved the touchscreen. Once I got the cheap pen from Amazon, everything worked perfectly. I finally gave up. Today I purchased the MacBook Air and couldn't be happier. I'll miss the touchscreen and being able to use a pen but I need a computer that lasts and the Surface Pro wasn't it. Hopefully my experience was a fluke but do your research!! Check reviews and known issues with Surface Pro 7 and the pen. Good luck!!!

Lot of $ for what it's worth
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's not as powerful as a PC, and doesn't come with what would make it a computer, so basically what you have here is a tablet that you can try to count on not failing in a few years. Keyboard, stylus, etc, sold separately. Returned. Just not worth the investment.

Great pc
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had this pc for a few weeks and so far it has been in use 24/7 I use it to browse the web watch videos and play games. Battery life is good also and there are some excellent apps out there to help you keep the surface running fast and optimal

Good tablet
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a gift for someone and it was what they wanted. I wish the design was more updated as it's been the same for a few years now. I would've gone with the Pro X as that is the more recent product but didn't know how compatible ARM is with military/cac websites so the Pro 7 was the safer bet.

I highly recommend surface pros
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Surface pros are by far the best computer I’ve invested in. They don’t degrade nearly as fast as other computer/laptops/tablets that I’ve had. They are fantastic computers that are actually worth the money.

Surface Pro 7
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Surface Pro 7 was a good deal - on sale. It has sufficient memory for what I do with emails, photos, and small amount of business. It has been great for all the zoom meetings during the pandemic and webinars.

More than I expected
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very happy with my decision. I was between and iPad and this. Love Apple products but they don’t give you many options like increasing the memory etc. The surface does and has many great apps to use for graphics and drawing ; may main interest.

Nice computer
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought it on vacation to use because fire tablet could not do some things I needed to do for business. Left the lap top at home because I didn’t think I was going to need it. Throughly impressed don’t even use the laptop anymore.

Excedllent customer service
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product itself, not sure how to rate. Two consecutive out of box failures. That is the first failed in about three days, the second in about three weeks. Regardless, definitely 5 stars for Best Buy making things right each time.

Ok
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s good as a laptop but as a tablet it lags! Not good for school at all especially if you plan to go digital note taking. Battery life isn’t the best, I find myself charging it throughout the day.

Perfect 2-in-1
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does everything I need. Bummed whiteboard needs internet to work, but I don’t plan on using it away from the internet anyway. Put all my music and photos on a micro SD card, leaving tons of space for work on the system itself.
