My wife loved it, opened it up and got right to it.

Im sure it would be great for some people, for the price it seems slow and lacking power, many of the apps designed for this machine are flawed, and its not a very user friendly tablet, I ended up returning mine

It is a really nice product but the SSD failed and when I shipped it to Microsoft to repair it was damaged in their shipping departments and they blamed it on me. I had packaged it with plenty of cushion and they said II did not use any

It's a nice design, but we've had a ton of issues with these. We purchased 3 over the past 12 months for remote school for our kids. Unfortunately we just experienced our third cataclysmic failure that will require the device to be returned and exchanged, a process that takes 2-3 weeks (not great for remote school). The common theme seems to be the display hardware as it's the screens that fail. I would go with Macbook Airs if I could do it all over again. If you go with the Surface Pro 7 I absolutely recommend the extended warranty. Best Buy has been helpful but their availability and repair turnaround is slow with covid, etc.

Using the surface pro works pretty well with the pencil but I must say the price of it was a bit steep, especially the pencil! It would be better if they had a better way of keeping tabs of the pencil if it were misplaced.

My Pro 3 was perfect. The Pro 7 is far from it. Horrible, mushy, washed out graphics, slow, many many errors. It refuses to stay connected to my wifi. And now, after one year, it has a really annoying and visible batch of dead pixels front and center. Since I bought this thing for photo editing, all these issues are extremely problematic. Also, the battery only lasts about an hour.

I bought this as a gift and unfortunately it was having a couple issues. It would lag a lot and the page would freeze. Ultimately returned it because of the issues other than that it was a great tablet

Always wanted a surface pro, but ended up returning it. I just like a laptop better I guess. If I was an artist or something it would be neat though.

I used mine for on the go school work. The touch screen works really well, the pen is excellent. I loved using it to take notes for classes on OneNote. It's really great at transitioning handwritten notes to text. I wouldn't try drawing/writing with a finger though. I only wish that I had gotten a larger RAM option, as recently I tried to run Talespire for an remote session of D&D (usually run on my desktop) and although though it did run it, it struggled HARD. I made it work and was proud of my little engine that could anyway. Also the battery charge didn't last as long as I thought. I do always leave it on, and there were period where I left the power chord attached, so I may have wore it out and made it dependant on the charger. However the power saving mode is great too.

Love this tablet. Main downfall is that it doesn’t come with anything.. you have to buy the pen, mouse, and keyboard all separate. Other than that it’s a nice tablet.

This is the second surface device I've purchased in a year and have had the same issue with the touch sensing on the display failing after a few months. Otherwise the unt is fine.

return within one day due to the app selection being so limited and it only allowing you to get apps from their specific app store I was no longer able to use it for what I bought it for.

I bought thinking it would be great for med school as a laptop and tablet in one. It got infected with viruses (although I had a virus protection on and I only used it for school), camera stopped working, extreme lagging, and kept shutting down unexpectedly all within a few months. Wish I could give it zero stars because it is extremely unreliable

Had to get a new device started flickering after a couple weeks. Otherwise picture is very clear my teens love the clarity in videos.

It’s a nice computer, simply that. Nothing more special than the others. It gets the job done, it has froze on me once or twice but computers aren’t always perfect.

For the most part it’s a good tablet. I have had problems with the screen not loading correctly but that has only happened a couple of times and normally corrects itself.

Bought this so I can take hand written notes for my classes, wished I bought the iPad pro instead since the surface pro lags so much.

Good computer but charging cable is not good quality. Plan on replacing or get warranty extension at time of purchase.
