Did not work!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very excited to purchase the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 but was soo disappointed to finally realize that it would not work! The computer would often shut down and I had a hard time trying to get it to start again. I took it back to Best Buy and was told that there were many updates due and once I did those, it would work correctly. I did that as well as looked online and read what others had suggested to do. Again, it worked for 1 day or 2 and then started acting up again. My son suggested that I return it while I could get my money back so that I wouldn't be stuck with a brand new computer that only worked sporadically but cost a great deal of money. I found out by reading lots of reviews that many people had the same experience that I did.

Poorly made
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not built to last. Made it 20 months before the battery stopped working completely (shuts off when not plugged in). Microsoft offered to replace it for $300. Purchased a keyboard (separately) and the n key popped off within a year. Don't know which brand I would recommend but it isn't Microsoft

Seriously disappointed.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was genuinely excited to treat myself with this tablet for work. That quickly changed once I realized how faulty it was. SO many screen glitches. Battery dies pretty quickly. Won't connect to my Bluetooth headphones..etc. I'm unsure (and so is IT) what the root issue is, but I'm not impressed.

Had to exchange due to freezing and lags
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I already have the surface pro 7 with i7 and wanted to buy my girlfriend one similar. The Downgraded I5 version crashed and froze straight out the box with no program installed and seemed to get no help from the 8gb of RAM. I expected some differences but this was crap. We exchanged after watching some reviews and are hoping this is an issue with that particular computer. The new one arrived today and we will as if we keep it or not

Not what I expected...
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was the worst device I have ever purchased. I kept it for 12 days and had so many problems. The cursor jumps all over the screen, the screen blacks out. It was incompatible with different programs. I factory reset it, called Microsoft help and decided it was t wort all the trouble. I gave 2 stars because I LOVE the pen and the ink application. Made it easy to annotate and insert images in work/school assignments.

poor design
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first Microsoft surface product I purchased. The computer itself worked well. However, the power cord is a very big mistake in design. It is a two piece cord and the connection between the two pieces doesn't snap together. It is held together with an extremely weak magnet that disconnects repeatedly from the slightest touch. I returned it because I was so frustrated at losing connection so often.

Overheats
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Computer over heats. It glitches a lot when you use touchscreen. If you connect keyboard and mouse it works fine.

Wasted Potential
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Device is fantastic but will randomly turn off when idles for a matter of minutes while on battery, even after adjusting sleep/hibernating modes. This is a known issue from Microsoft. Best Buy should NOT carry this model.

Shady sales associate
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sales man was young and such a lier, would say anything to make a sale, did not know much about the product, and He lied about the Tech support, that's why I cancelled it. I purchased the product because I knew what I was going to buy before I went there. It's a shame to hire sales associate that will say anything to make a sale...Not the best look for a store!!

Microsoft Surface
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for schpp; and returned it within 3 days. Never been much of a Microsoft software and thought about giving it a shot. Other than not getting used to the software coming from all Apple products, I did not like the quality of the surface, the keyboard feels cheap and the camera is bad quality.

Great for portability and general usage
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. However, as a programmer I was unable to enjoy using this tablet because it was a bit underpowered for what I needed.

Can't recommend Surface Pro 7
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had this product since Oct 2019. Very light use as it is primarily a backup device for work in the event we have to work from home... Well... welcome to 2020 and the COVID pandemic work from home scenario. Upon startup Monday 3/15/20, the keyboard would not connect so I'm basically stuck with what equates to a tablet. I have to type a great deal for work and flip between applications. Microsoft customer service has been little to no help in troubleshooting. I found on Microsoft forums a way to manually install the keyboard driver so that I can get it to work intermittently but it's only a temporary patch until I can figure out a reliable home pc solution. Far from a simple or intuitive driver download as you have to extract type cover .inf files and manually install after startup. This is not a reliable solution and I totally regret this purchase. Microsoft has offered to replace the computer (fastest arrival is April). Not something that is acceptable for a work computer. Oh well, back to a normal laptop or macOS... Will take my replacement and sell it I guess to offset some of the cost..
