From Microsoft it is going to be pricey. But it works well and am glad the connections match earlier models. Spilled coffee on my last one and it did not like it.

Necessary for full use of the computer that it is designed for and works without a hitch.

I purchased this to replace a previous "Signature" Type Cover for my Surface Pro 5. At the time of my last purchase, there was a "Signature Type Cover" and a regular "Type Cover". The Signature model used upgraded Alcantara material. The package that just arrived was only labeled "Type Cover". It appears that the material matches that of my previous Signature version, so I believe MS just dropped the "Signature" name for this model of Type Cover. It feels and operates just like my previous Signature Type Cover.

I have a Surface pro 4 and did not like using the screen keyboard. This product is great and works well.

The keyboard is great. It has backlit keys. It is very easy to type on, by far this is the best keyboard that I've used.

Very nice keyboard, good double use as a cover for the Surface Pro. The back (which ends up being the outside cover when closed over the Surface Pro’s screen) is this nice, felt-like smooth material, and it attaches magnetically to the Surface Pro in such a way that it is sturdy yet at the same time, easy to take off the Surface when you want to use the Surface as a tablet and not a laptop. The keyboard itself is quite good for not being a “regular” laptop or desktop keyboard; I type an average of 100wpm and I was able to comfortable achieve that speed on this keyboard. The individual keys have good travel which is a pretty good feat because the whole keyboard is quite thin and light. I wish the trackpad was bigger, but I understand the limitations of space for this type of product. For anyone getting the Surface Pro, this is a must have additional purchase (as well as the Surface Pen—that’s a different review!).

So easy to connect! I love it! I'm still getting used to the touch pad.

Would have given 5 stars but the only problem i have with it is that the material does make it easy to get stains or marks on it. Other than that as soon as it is connected the response time is unreal! 100% recommend!

I bought this with the Pro 7 and pen. It is the perfect size for my husband's hands and its even better that its durable...my husband tends to type hard and I'm always afraid that he would break my laptop keyboard. I love that it folds over the tablet to protect it.
