Works exactly as described, attaches and detaches from my Surface Pro like it was made for it (that's a joke). Seriously, it could not get any easier for using a removable keyboard. The magnet strength is perfect, enough to positively hold it to the Surface when needed, and weak enough to just pull away with only a slight effort. The soft plastic (rubber like) outer layer is one piece and offers great projection from the occasional coffee mishap.

The keyboard on my SP3 malfunctioned (2nd time that happened), and I wasn't about to buy the same keyboard again. This SP4 version is much improved. Let's hope it doesn't malfunction a year from now.

The Surface has come a long way and finally has a keyboard that is worth the wait. The misplaced Fn key on the right in prior versions was a deal breaker as a majority of keyboards have it on the left, so I found it difficult to make the adjustment. This model now corrects that with the Fn key on the left side. The color options are a nice addition to a solid designed keyboard that is essential for any Surface PC/Tablet. With a special promotion I got a great steal of a deal that shaved off more than half the price combined with reward certificates.

This is a must have for the surface! It does work with both Surface 3 and 4. I find this is more useful than purchasing a bluetooth keyboard since it can fold up and be stored with the surface.

Beautiful color, works very well, and feels solid when you type on it. At first I was hesitant on it because honestly it looks flimsy. I was happily proved wrong and I actually enjoy typing on this thing. Very quick and responsive and it's really easy totake off and put back on thanks to the sturdy magnets. Well thought out and designed.... If only it came in black! However the teal is really nice and hasn't gotten dirty so far!

This keyboard works as advertised. It turns the Surface into a laptop. The keys are back-lit which is great for those low light situations. The way it magnetically attaches works great. I still like to use my Surface as a tablet more than a laptop, but the keyboard is great when I want a laptop.

I love my Microsoft Surface Pro Type Cover. It is light, versatile as a keyboard and protective as a cover. If I need to use a keyboard for a document, I position it in front. If I am searching the web and/or am limited in space, the keyboard is positioned in the back. Either way, it is connected magnetically and moves easily without disconnecting. I just love my new Microsoft Surface Pro keyboard. I love the options of different colors too!

i bought this keyboard for my Surface Pro 3 and it fits really good. It was on sale so did not think twice about getting it. keys have a feel when you type in it. great buy !

This was a gift along with my Surface Pro 4. The keyboard is much improved from the earlier Surface keyboards. It works well and is sturdy. I am looking forward to plenty of typing on this.

Didn't go with the fingerprint keyboard, just opted for this one. Keys have a natural feel like a regular keyboard. Back lit works well and it feels like it protects the screen when closed.

Like the keyboard, certainly have one for each Surface Pro we have. Good feel, slim design, uses the Surface battery and has somewhat of feedback to your fingers during use.

I purchased this recently with my new Surface Pro 4. It is a lot more comfortable than the previous keyboard for the Surface 3. The keys are spaced and the keyboard is backlit (which I LOVE)

This keyboard is better in feel and typing experience than its predecessor. Palm rest part is no longer plastic feel, and each key responds well. Fingerprint reader responds very quickly.

Works well. Turns the tablet into an easily used "laptop". Only issue I am fining is that the mope and End keys are in a little awkward position. Considering the small keyboard, it is OK.

I don't like that it costs extra to get. It should be included in the base cost of the surface.Works great though. I like that it is a light up keyboard. Nice upgrade from my old computer.

Goes perfect with my surface pro 3 and I love the color! I almost bought black but I am absolutely in love with the teal color. Also I would never buy the surface with out this keyboard.

After reading some of the reviews on the Pro 4 keyboard I went out and purchased the new Pro 4 keyboard for my Pro 3. It is excellent. Well worth the cost. Much more like a real keyboard.

Have a Surface Pro 3 and bought this new type cover. It is head and shoulders better than the previous model. Doesn't flex and is very stable. Closest to using a regular laptop keyboard!

The updated type is much better than the previous generation. Typing is responsive and comfortable when working on the right surface. The Surface pro still isn't the best in a lap. I love the fact that the keyboard barely adds weight and if you haven't used a keyboard with a backlight you are missing out. Get this one over the one with the fingerprint reader because windows hello is the best way to unlock your device.

I was excited to get a Surface Pro 3 to replace my laptop & didn't realize that the Surface Pro 4 came out. I was reluctant to get the Pro 4 but the reviews were good but the reviews for the keyboard were great! This keyboard feels great & works like a regular keyboard. Great Design!
