The keyboard adds the keyboard function but I think takes away from the surfaces design. Should it be touch? Stylus, or a laptop? Also when folded back the keys distract from your holding and I don't like the felt back. Wish it were a less porous material

I think the keyboard is a requirement to get the most out of the surface. I purchased and the positive is that it's sleek and light so doesn't add any bulk. The negative is that keys are tight and close together - too easy to "fat finger" while typing

I bought one of these and had it for 2 weeks and the keys started falling off not from misuse, but from using it in an office. However 5 stars to Best Buy for exchanging for us under the elite program extended returns.

Definitely way over priced and wish it was included with the Surface but it's necessary for doing what I need to do. A little on the flimsy side and the track pad is a little too sensitive but gets the job done.

These keyboards are protectors as well, but after a while they are somewhat hard to type on. if there was enough rigidity to allow it to be put on a lap instead of having to be on a desk it would be better.

Best Buy price matched to Amazon, so that was awesome. Works great for the first year or so. Then the touch pad loses sensitivity and you can't find the mouse arrow.

Bought this for my Surface Pro 4. In general, don't buy Microsoft laptops as they're not very good though there's a lot of hype about it. Have 2 and now regret for buying them.

I purchased this for a missionary. Within 4 months one of the keys stopped working. I hope Microsoft will replace it...in the meantime I spent another 130 bucks on another one.

The Space Bar Key would insert multiple spaces. Therefore, I returned the item to the store. I ended up purchasing a special edition keyboard at the Microsoft Store.
