Works as a stylus. Charge seems to hold for a while. Charger shouldnt be an add-on for something without replaceable batteries.

First pen that came with my Surface X broke, so had to to buy a new one. This one works great! Love the tip on this one - it's finer and writes really well. Now, hopefully it lasts longer than the first version.

Very nice writing instrument. Works great with the Surface Studio laptop. It is held securely under the keyboard and also gets charged there. It was pricey, but well built. Nice upgrade to the older Surface pen.

I purchased this pen with a new Surface Pro 8. I owned previous pens for Surface Pro 3, 4 and 6. Inking experience is comparable to previous pens, while the storage/recharging slot on the new Surface Pro 8 keyboard is a nice upgrade.

Neat little thing. It's magnetic, so it'll stick to the keypad which has a little holder. Open box, was clean and functional.

I didn’t really like the shape of this. I preferred the original pen. Plus the original was magnetic, round, and cheaper. This feels like a downgrade.

This pen was a little pricey especially after dropping 2500 on a laptop but I took the plunge and have been very happy. The pen is magnetically held under my Surface Studio Laptop and works well writing on the screen.

Big upgrade from the pen I had with the surface book, I use it mostly for taking notes. I love how it is always at the front of the surface studio, charging and ready to go!!

It works with pro 7, but you need a Microsoft specific charger that does not come with the pen. The 7 keyboard and device won't charge it; the 9 and 10 keyboard does. The magnetic grip on the 7 for storage is not great; might be better with bigger tablet like 9 or 10.

New Surface pen works better because it is rechargeable and doesn't need battery replacement

Purchased this item to use with my surface duo. I must admit I wasn’t happy with the cost but I was pleasantly surprised by its performance. Works great with my surface pro 7 as well.

The vibration sensation doesn’t work all of the time but I do prefer the sharper point compared to the first gen pen.

There is a noticeable difference and upgrade from the surface slim pen 1. Motions and movements are more precise and the haptic feedback is an excellent upgrade feature.
