    This item is necessary to connect the standard USB port to the new MacBook laptops! I searched other merchants who sold similar items at much higher prices. This does a great job and I have not had any problems thus far.

    Really nice adaptor for a USB to USB-C drive. I’m noticing more newer technology has USB-C now so if you have a wireless mouse you want to use or charging cable you want to use with your device, I highly recommend.

    Essential for the newer computers like the Surface or MacBooks. I dislike cables, which move around snd come lose. Thus is rigid snd secure. Works great. You can even use with with an external DVD/CD drive.

    I bought the official microsoft usb adapter to connect my existing usb non c devices to my surface go. I could have purchased a cheaper product on amazon, but didn't want to risk warranty issues. The Amazon product wasn't that much cheaper.

    This adapter allow me to plug more things into my mac mini. There are several USB c (thunderbolt) ports in the middle. I have not found anything that uses these ports, so this adapter allows me to plug in things that use the more conventional usb 3 items. (Don't be confused, thunderbolt is not the same a the lightening ports on your Iphone.)

    It is small and simple to use. Wish it had something so I can tie it to may keychain. I am keeping it on my USB stick at all times so I don't need to look for it when I need it.

    If you have a Surface, you should keep one of these around - it's a great item because you're bound to need a USB port and not have one available on the Surface.

    Using this in my Microsoft Surface Pro 7 gives me 2 standard USB ports when I them. Simply remove the adapter to have the built-in USB-C port and the USB port.

    Not all USB to USB-C cabled dongles work as I have found out the hard way, however this works perfectly every time.
