If you have the Surface Pro 3, you must have this keyboard also! So easy to use and helps protect your Surface screen when closed. Super easy to attach and remove. Doesn't add any weight to your Surface either!

I really like this cover for my Surface Pro 3! I love this color blue which is exclusive to Best Buy. It's so lightweight yet durable. It's really the perfect size and the bonus is I don't have to charge it. I just connect it to the Surface Pro 3 and type!

Very easy to use and type on. Makes using the Surface so much more productive when you want it but easy to remove if you only want to have tablet function. Wish it was included with Surface and not an add on but still makes the Surface more functional.

If you get the surface pro 3 then this is a must have. It is great to be able to take the surface pro 3 anywhere but if you can find a flat surface and you have this keyboard then it.is just as good as carrying your old laptop. This should be part of.a package deal but they choose to make it a separate purchase. You can make a stand and not buy it but why wouldn't you want the ease of this keyboard and have a extra layer of protection for your screen. Yes it is more expensive then older models but if you are going to pay the money to get a surface pro 3 then you should spend a little more and have the complete package. The mouse pad is a little small but works great and you don't have to keep a mouse with you.

I find the keyboard works well with the Surface Pro 3. It is very easy to use and store. It is an improvement over the keyboard that goes with the Pro 2. The larger size is nice as well.

This is a great keyboard/cover for the Pro 3. Well worth the money and investment for one of the best tablets/laptops on the market. It has actual keys and the keys light up so you can write in the dark. You can control most of the Pro 3 through this cover. It comes with a tab that you can stick on anywhere in the keyboard for the Surface Pen. It has a great trackpad that controls the mouse. I prefer this over a wireless keyboard as it keeps it close to the screen. It can be on an angle or be flat depending on how you prefer to type using it. It comes in a small variety of colors and the color goes well with my Surface Pro 3.

I use this keyboard daily and like the way it feels. The size and portability make it a great accessory for the Surface Pro 3. I can't imagine having the tablet without this.

Easy to type on. Love that it uses power from the Surface. Acts as a great cover! Just be careful for the pen attachment. I would clamp it for a bit to ensure it stays on.

You must have this for your surface pro 3. Great add on to an already inferior product. Light easy to install and feels great! Just wish it came with it or was cheaper

Keyboard functionality itself is very good; appreciate cover protection as well. The magnetic stability takes a little getting used to; also the stylus doesn't fit very well in the holder without forcing it.

Very nice accessory for the surface pro 3. It is very easy to use, and the keyboard is comfortable. The price is a bit much, but worth it if you need a keyboard.

After having this keyboard attached to my Surface Pro 3 for over 60 days I can tell you it works perfect without any problems. Easy to attach and detach and has excellent features. I wondered how I was going to like it as frankly it looked and felt like it might be easy to have problems with what I call a portable keyboard. Well Microsoft did their normal excellent job and made this Surface Pro 3 keyboard to work & last. I really, really like it.

Easy to put on and remove. This keyboard is very thin and doesn't add much weight to the tablet. It's very useful when doing more work on the tablet.

I love the Type keyboard because it is lightweight, portable, and allows me to type as quickly as on a standard laptop keyboard. It works very well.

At first I was skeptical about the keyboard but it is actually very nice. Works wonderfully with the surface and slim enough you do not notice it.

What is there not to like about the keyboard. I bought the SP3 to replace my Ipad and laptop. I didn't even consider running it without the keyboard. I've had keyboards for my Ipad in the past and those keyboards don't even compare. Love that the keyboard is powered by the SP3. No issues with it not being charged. Love the fit, as I found most Ipad keyboards are too small for my hands. My only complaint would be the pen holder. Not really sure where to put it, so I just don't use it. I am sure I will lose the pen along the way. Great product!

This was actually my 2nd purchase of the backlit Microsoft Surface Pro 3 keyboard. This one was purchased for my 18 year old son so he would quit stealing mine. It has a great key feel and works perfectly to protect your screen as well. The only negative thing I would say about this purchase as well as my previous is that the pen holder is practically useless. Microsoft did not think that one through. That's probably why they ditched that design completely in the newer devices. That being said - you can still attach your pen to the case at the crease of the keyboard and the clip will not scratch the screen.

The keyboard is pretty good. I would say it is pretty overpriced, however it works great and I've never had a problem with it. I like that is is easily detachable so that I can use my surface pro as a tablet. Also it is nice that it is detachable so if anything were to go wrong or I would break the keyboard, it is much easier to purchase a new keyboard or send in the keyboard than having to part with your entire computer while it is being resolved.

In Summary: It gets the job done and is okay for an OEM solution but could have used more time in the usability/refinement category. The Surface is Microsoft's statement that you can use one device to meet all your needs; if this is true, they need to keep working on the keyboard. As a total package, I find the keyboard compromises to be worth it since the Surface is a great machine, although I think there is more work to be done before Microsoft really hits it out the park. The good: -The keyboard is made for the Surface 3, so it works well in that regard. -When you don't want it, you can flip it around the back of the Surface without removing it, and it automatically deactivates - nice touch. -You do not need to remove it when using the dock, yet another nice touch. -You can keep it at an angle, or lay the keyboard flat. I've met people who prefer it both ways. I normally keep it flat to help mitigate my #1 complaint below. -It has both a backspace and a delete key. This is both important and much appreciated for someone who uses programs that differentiate between the two often. I wish more laptop keyboards did the same. The bad: -Keyboard - It doesn't feel solid when and makes unnecessary noises while typing. After coming from a Macbook Air, I expect more. A friend who was going to buy a Surface 3 tried mine, and immediately went and bought a $400 computer since all she needed was Office apps - the keyboard and trackpad drove her off. -Trackpad - As with the keyboard, this day and time I expect more. It detects phantom touches more than I would like, and if you change the settings to ignore phantom touches while typing, you cannot use the trackpad and keyboard at the same time (there is enough of a delay in switching that it is noticeable). In addition, sometimes I find myself hunting to hit the right mouse button - Microsoft needs to take some lessons from the Mac as to how to differentiate right and left mouse button clicking on a touchpad. -The fabric-like surface attracts dirt horribly. A week in people were commenting on how dirty it looked. To counteract this problem, I started setting a microfiber cloth on the keyboard before shutting it, which fixes two things - it keeps the display clean, and keep the oils/dirt to a minimum. Overall, it is a good fix for the Surface 3, which as a whole is a great device. I really wish they would iterate the keyboard design within the Surface 3's lifetime, but as with all manufacturers, they refine in the Surface 4...

I was skeptical of the keyboard cover after seeing them used at work. They looked flimsy and I didn't like the fact they didn't protect the entire exterior of the Surface. Understanding more now, and after using it for 3 weeks, I am impressed. It snaps right on to the Surface Pro without any setup and has the feel of a regular keyboard. Another product that is slightly more expensive than I thought it would be (or deserves) but still a quality product.
