I had upgraded a computer and its hardware. The last step was the operating system. I moved all of my files to an external drive. Wiped the computer and installed windows 10. recognized the upgrades right away and not one issue. Combined with a new SSD it runs fast and better than new.

If you need to re-install Windows 10 (complete re-install including the license) you cannot go wrong with this retail build. Usually when you buy a new PC the license that is included on that PC's copy of Windows is only good with that specific machine. If you end up replacing the motherboard and/or CPU the license is no longer valid. With this retail version of Windows 10 Home you can move over to new hardware without any issues, as the License can be carried over. If you are planning to upgrade your existing computer with a new Motherboard/ CPU, or you are planning on building your own machine that you'll upgrade periodically, then you want the Retail version of Windows 10 Home. Will be well worth the extra few dollars spent!

With commercial programs and games giving Windows so much support it's hard to switch to another OS. Still I find Window 10 a great OS. Either way I'd be comfortable with any operating system. Most of my work is done in specific programs and it doesn't matter if that program is running on Mac, Windows, or Linux.

i built a gaming computer and needed an operating system to run it.did not want to go back to windows 7.so i checked best buys website to see what they had.so i checked out windows 10 home and windows 10 pro.i went with windows 10 home and love it.thanks best buy.

I bought one of our old laptops from work. It ran great, but our IT guy used a bad activation key from the dark web. :D He was just going to do it again, so I bought Windows 10 and installed it. The laptop runs great and I'm enjoying 10. I turned off the junk that's useless.

I needed a version of Windows to install on a computer where I replaced a failed hard drive. It was easy to install and works as I expected. Came quickly and really helped me out in an emergency

My husband questioned the BestBuy guys extensively about how difficult it would be to install on his new MacBook Air, and we left convinced he could "maybe" do it. Well, it went very well and he enjoys having both the Apple and the Microsoft programs to use on his Mac.

First off im glad it came on a usb stick as opposed to a download. The code as in 2 places so more than safe for later use. Install was lightning fast and within a few moments was introduced to the new OS. Strange but familiar at the same time. Well on to the learning

I purchased this from my local Best Buy store. It was exactly what I was looking for and on hand at the time I went. The operating system is provided on a small USB key and the installation process was smooth and simple.

I have been a faithful Windows OS user for the past 25 years,and this edition will supplant Windows 7 in about 2 years as far as support is concerned. I installed it on a separate SSD so I can dual boot both operating systems for the time being.

A LOT of people arent really fans of WINDOWS 10 . but what choice do we have but to upgrade . i got this for a friend who missed the free upgrade window , and NEEDED to upgrade THIS MONTH from her windows 7 . this was easy to install , and worked without a hitch .

I installed another copy of Windows on an Acer Aspire One. I read on the internet that it could be done and it worked fine. This was a bad mistake, now I am stuck with it, there is no going back. I should have put Linux on this machine. I can always get out of that one. I installed this copy on an HP G72. So far I have not had any problems. The moral to this story is make sure this is what you want and that it will run on your computer. Three stars is the average between the five stars I would give the HP and zero stars I would give to what I got with the Acer. I would recommend this to a friend with a note of caution.

Need to upgrade a Windows 8.1 laptop to Windows 10. Wanted the full functionality that this version offered. Using Best Buy's price match guarantee only took 5 minutes. Convenient in-store pickup. OS that I needed and an overall smooth transaction.

Purchased to overwrite a failing and corrupted operations system that would not upgrade on line to windows 10 due to the corruption. Installed new windows 10 via this Flash drive. Not only did it fix all the problems but even saved all my files and photos.

I have been using Windows 8.1 since I bought my i7 computer in 2014, it was a very dependable OS. That is until I had the Geeks install Windows 10, now I’ve basically have a new laptop without spending up towards a thousand dollars for a decent i7 or in my case a Apple laptop.

Due to Windows not going to be doing any more updates on my 2007 Windows program, I had to upgrade it on my desktop so that I could use it. I am a college student & had issues with my desktop computer with the old Windows version.

Always heard good reviews of Windows 10. The last Windows OS I used was Windows 7. I also came from Mac OSX when I didnt have my PC. This version of Windows is exactly what Microsoft needed. Performance is off the charts and have had no issues whatsoever.

Despite a difficult entry into the market, windows 10 has made some great strides over the past couple of years and really proven itself to be a substantial OS. I believe it's the new windows 7 and has completely done away with the issues of windows 8.1.

Whether you're new to Windows or setting up a new device, Windows 10 really has all you could need! It's easy to both learn and use and there's plenty of good support for any questions you may have. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone!

Loads easy and works fine. Saves storage space since it is loaded on a usb stick.
