Looks are of course a personal preference, but I didn't realize until I held it that the gray areas on the front have a slight texture to them and then on the back where your fingers would be is textured slightly which is better than the stock controller. My rechargeable Energizer batteries fit and work fine, though I had to use the black battery cover which doesn't match, but it's on the back so not a big deal.
