It has a few improvements from the original (wireless range, Bluetooth, grips) and is a great controller overall.

I went with a new one because the controllers I already own were pre-bluetooth and I wanted to play the Project Xcloud beta on my smartphone.

One thing I can say is signal is shaky occasionally unlike the wired one. I have both.

I have many of these and only issue is that joystick can break if used a lot so may be worth getting insurance if you are going use a lot

They price matched from an online retailer which was easy, did it through chat. came in just 2 days and have had no issues with the controller. Operates as expected, feels great.

I've played games on my Android phone, my PC, as well as an Xbox with this controller, and it's fantastic!

The original that came with the system lasted me a long time. The replacements don't seem to last as long for some reason but I still like the feel of them. I would like to know the lifetime expected hours of a controller. Thankfully BestBuy coverage is great as well. They will wear out if you are a heavy gamer.
