I highly recommend the protection plan for moderate to heavy gamers as controllers usually last about a year then the RS and LS start to fall apart "pretty common" not a hit on this controller but 85% of the games require these buttons and if the female section internally snaps it causes a lot of issues with game play. Overall a 5star
