They come with 2 AA batteries that can be swapped out with rechargeable batteries. Hooking the controller up to your system is very easy.

Eats some batteries, but they do last for a while. Just noticeable is all. Maybe a nice rechargeable battery pack would be a good idea? Solid...But it on sale if you can.

He has gone through several controllers but this one seems to be working well so far. I would advise any parents with younger kids to purchase the warranty.

I also purchased the battery charging system and that has made a huge difference. It has saved me tons of money by not having to buy new batteries every week!!

It works just like the other Microsoft controllers. I honestly purchased this controller because of the color plus I was able to price match for a lower price than advertised.
