The only way to fix the desync is to pop the battery out or resync the console and controller.

They’re usually reliable too but as of lately a lot of them are not. I had to exchange after a day because of stick drift but it’s a beautiful controller

My only complaint would be that when I ordered it the delivery promised was in 3 days and it took well over 10 days to arrive with no update or notification.
