Terrible quality control on the XboxOne controller

The last two I had only lasted a week before breaking. Looking online, there are complaints going back 3 and 4 years about these controllers breaking, but Microsoft has not done ANYTHING to fix this issue. I have Xbox 360 controllers that I bought 10 years ago and still work fine. These XboxOne controllers are just terrible. I finally had to bite the bullet and go with the Elite controller ($150 versus $50). Crossing my fingers they used different internal parts on the Elite, although I'm not holding my breath.
