Now it makes an awful rattle when it vibrates. It's just as much my fault as it is Microsoft's. The color scheme is cool.

However, I have never had an issue with a Microsoft xbox controller like I have had with this one. After 1 month of moderate use, this controller began to randomly disconnect from less than 10 feet away. I changed the batteries and the issue seemed to resolve itself, for a couple weeks that is. Now, the controller has completely malfunctioned. The d-pad no longer functions in the 'left' direction and the controller is unusable. I have tried replacing the batteries (again), re-starting the xbox and resyncing the controller. All to no avail. Unfortunately, I am pass the return date. I am going to see if my store will exchange but I think I am SOL.
