While it does come with 2 AA batteries, the controller itself isn't rechargeable so we assume you may have also purchased a rechargeable battery pack, such as the Xbox Play & Charge Kit, which offers up to 30 hours of battery life on a single charge. If so, we're happy that it's been a winning combination!
