The blue is very striking, but be aware that the triggers, bumpers, and back are dark blue though they appear black in most pictures. This is the newest controller, but it is compatible with all Xbox One systems. Small improvements have been made since the 3.5mm model, but save for the cosmetic changes, I couldn't tell you what those are. The back does have a nice texture to it.
