It was purchased for the aesthetics. The painting is really nice, and the "scratches" are actually scratched. It works.

First time a button was unresponsive. Returned and the second had a glue spot on bottom that was coming apart. Also the back button was unresponsive. As much as I loved the design of this controller I ended up switching to just a regular old Xbox controller because I couldn't seen to find a working one out of the box
