Tried the more expensive one but switched to the good old standard controller. Works as a good replacement for the original controller and the rubber pads help with the grip. Will recommend.

I like the color! Its designed differently. It has grip on the back now. Compared to the older model it had a much better feel. Best controller!!!

I picked this up because I hated the white one which came with my XB1S (total first world problem). Picked this one in particular because it has textured/rubberized grips where fingers sit and grooves cut into the top where thumbs meet palms. Because it is the newer model of XB1 controller, it also does not require an adapter to plug in chat headset (3.5mm jack is built-in). Cool design/color helps too, but may not be enough to justify the premium over standard controller for most...I picked it up on sale, so no sweat.
