It is a good value for the cost. If your child is a heavy game player it will only last a year. Some of the buttons breakdown over time and stop working or don't work like they use too. It would be great if Microsoft had a fix shop to send the controllers to get fixed for free.

OEM Controllers never dissapoint

Just as we did with our Xbox 360, we added an official Xbox controller to our Xbox One. Only drawback is that the standard wireless controllers are designed for AA batteries and you have to buy the rechargeable battery set separately. I recommend that you also purchase one of the dedicated battery pack sets with a custom designed charging cradle. You could probably use AA rechargeables but slight hassle taking them out to charge. The separately purchased battery pack and charging cradle is more convenient and cuts down on the need to search for the controllers. Simply return them to the cradle.

I also wanted to play racing games on Steam. It works effortlessly. When I connected the controller, windows 10 took me through the steps to set it up. Experiencing vibration and increased fidelity of movement allowed me to experience games in a unique way. Connecting to the phone was just like connecting to Bluetooth speakers! Super Easy!
