Not a happy camper

I haven’t had this controller very long and the left “joystick” is already broken. I bought this to use to play a few games on my Fire tv edition tv. I’ve only used it maybe a handful of times. Was playing a game yesterday, when the left joystick would only move left/right on the screen, but when I moved it up/down it wouldn’t move on the screen. Tried new batteries, turning the tv off then back on and even unpaired/removed the controller from the tv, then added back on.
