I wanted to get him something that isn't too plain but also not too loud and I think this is perfect. I think the build quality is noticeably better than the original xbox one controllers and the headphone jack is an obvious, but very useful addition on Microsoft's part. This is what the xbox one controller always should have been, possibly my favorite console controller ever.

The ones from Microsoft are always the best option. This is my 4th Xbox controller over the 6 years I’ve had my Xbox one. The bumpers seem to break after a while but this one is holding up so far. I play a lot of video games though so it’s normal wear. One controller broke because it got dropped though.
