I haven't played it enough to wear it out. Seems sturdy and responsive, just as you'd like. However, if I don't push the Xbox power button the "proper way", it seems to need another push to power off.

You may also consider investing in a rechargeable battery pack such as the Xbox One Play & Charge Kit, which offers up to 30 hours of battery life on a single charge and can be recharged in fewer than four hours.
