It's a great gift for an Xbox gamer. I'd also recommend getting then the Xbox live membership, although i wouldn't pay the $60 for the year. You can usually find a few good deals throughout the year and sometimes even a free month. This gift card can go into spending it on buying the games you get with the xbox live membership.

This item is a great gift for the gamer in the family. I bought this for my nephew for Christmas who is really into Fortnite and other games. The new Xbox currency uses real money directly from my credit card. If I want to buy 15 single songs, I will have 15 $2 transactions on my credit card, resulting in the credit card's fraud and identity protection calling me on behalf of "suspicious purchases" on my credit card. Buying Xbox points from Best Buy, I only have 1 credit card transaction, and it's from Best Buy

If you are tired of being shamed by your kid on allowance this is the way to go. We would lose track of whether we had given him his allowance or not and like a silver tongued 12 yr old lawyer he exploited our weaknesses.
