It sure what your supposed to say about a gift card. They are easy presents to get for others. I do think the entire Xbox platform and Xbox Live are overly complicated systems and could be much more user friendly. I just let my sons figure it out since they are the gamers.

Easier way to add fund to your sons account without worrying about going over budget. The code is emailed to you and you just apply to the code to your kids account.

We went into Best Buy to buy a giftcard to make purchases on a popular game (coins, lives, etc). It was not available and I did not want to give my child access to my credit card. We purchased the generic Xbox card instead and it worked with no problems. My child was able to set up everything on his own and make his own purchases.

VERY easy to redeem and use for purchasing. Kinda weird writing a review for a gift card, but I'd say it's a good product if you're looking to convert cash into "Xbox Bucks".
