Xbox Elite Controller
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller is dope. Easy to customize and can get same tuning than scuff controllers. Its great for PC and first person shooters with the back paddles. Really easy to remap and customize as desired. Long battery life and grip feels nice. Comfortable to use for long periods of gaming sessions. No need for Kontrol Freak thumsticks.

Great controller

Master the extra features, you'll be unstoppable.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I game PC, Xbox, and PlayStation and have tried numerous controllers for each. I use the Elite 2 for PC and Xbox. It really comes down to what fits best in your hand, but for me there is no question. The natural fit in my hands and how the paddles flawlessly fall into place make learning four extra buttons easier than learning a keyboard. The quick shot trigger settings tailor your game-play to your style and the game you are playing. Not to mention the three layout configurations which makes swapping between games seamless. It feels like cheating to configure and customize the controller to be able to simply maneuver and shoot faster than your opponent. This may not be the one for you, but if you’re looking for a premium controller, I am willing to bet it is.

Outstanding, but niche use instances.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The regular xbox controllers are functional and okay, the textile feel and experience of this controller is outstanding. I do switch out the thumbsticks often depending on what game and playing and the trigger shortening feature is great for Arc Raiders, COD, etc. I have had it for about a year and 8 months and it still feels great. The cons are that the key mapping for the back paddles are hit or miss, maybe thats a me thing but after trying for awhile i just gave up. If you see an open box version i would 10/10 recommend. Otherwise, it just depends how much you care about the textile feeling and quality- since thats the biggest/most noticeable day to day thing.

Wonderful controller. Better experience
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has been my favorite controller to use ever. It’s such a game changer being able to swap thumb sticks. The controller itself has cool features like paddles and the metal feels nice to touch as well as the rubber grips sitting nicely in my hands. It feels reassuring to also have a case with my controller that also has compartments to hold my separate parts. I’ve had the controller for ~2 years and the only problem that has occurred is a tiny piece of the rubber is peeling off next to the right bumper but that could easily be glued back if I cared to do so. I would say the price point is definitely too high. In the end it’s just a controller after all

Good investment
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really enjoyed this controller. Love that you can change the sensitivity and do multiple profiles. Even though it’s been out for a while it’s definitely worth it if you game often. Is heavier that the standard controller which I personally really like. Feels comfortable in my hands even when gaming for long periods of time. Also worth it that it comes with a hard cover case that can charge. Along with the standing charger. It’s heavier but love that it’s sturdy fits perfectly on a desk. Honestly for what you pay for you are getting a lot.

Stick Drift Persists
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm writing this in July, 2020. I bought the controller the week it came out and I'm now awaiting my second controller after using the extended warranty I purchased. The reason: Stick drift. This is an issue that came up with the original Elite and I figured the MS engineers maybe fixed it. Maybe not. The controller is truly fantastic. It's heavy, has excellent options for programming/customization, and has a lovely, tactile feel. But don't buy it without the protection plan. Without the drift, this controller would be the best out there and I still love it. The specific drift I'm dealing with is on the left analog stick. I returned it and the BB rep, also an Elite user, immediately recognized it and helped me out, so 5 stars for the great customer service. I'd love to blame AC: Odyssey for causing the problem because if you've never played this game, you'll put lots of hours in pressing up on the left stick. But that's not enough reason for a $180 controller to fail. Buy the protection plan and enjoy the controller with the understanding that if you're willing to pay this much, you need the extra insurance to protect your investment.

Great Controller!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm gonna preface by saying this is my 3rd Elite V2 controller. However, despite the fact that I've went through 3 of them so far, there's a reason I still purchase the same controller. First off, it feels very premium and has a nice weight to it. The ability to customize it with different control sticks and dpads is awesome, and I love the customizable right and left shoulder buttons - it's great for FPS games. In addition to the customizable sticks and dpad, there's also the Microsoft Accessory app that works on both Xbox and PC. It offers even more ways to customize and lets you remap pretty much any button (including the 4 paddles on the back) and change the color of the Xbox logo. The controller also comes with a premium case and charging cable, as well as different control sticks and a different dpad. You can also charge it while it's in its case. The controller is rechargeable and the battery life is more than reasonable in my opinion. Again, I have went through 3 of these controllers. One of the grips began peeling on my first one, and then my second one had issues with the left bumper not working. I'm on my third one now and so far I haven't ran into any issues, though I have been trying to take good care of it to avoid anything else from happening. With all that said, I would still recommend this controller for any gaming enthusiast or someone who just wants a more premium controller. I have tried many controllers and this one just seems to be the best, despite it not lasting me as long as I'd like. I hope there's a V3 coming soon because I will buy it immediately when it comes out.

Good so far
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I only gave this four stars because I’m waiting on it to probably go out on me. Xbox needs to revamp this controller though bumpers always going out. I’ve had two of these before the one I have now I do love the comfort of this controller. It’s a great controller, but the thing is isn’t gonna go out on me this time. It’s a new version. Maybe they have done something with the technology of the controller. That’s what I’m hoping, but like I said four stars for now.

Amazing controller, but...
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first review with this controller after owning each elite controller since launch. They are amazing controllers for the most part, however, the build quality is lacking. You might run into toggle or top bumper problems the most (like in my case). Each time I've had to replace this controller, it's either the joystick toggle, or the top bumpers. So the build quality doesn't justify the price tag at all. The battery life and grip and the back bumpers make this controller worth it for more seasoned players. I would at least always recommend the protection plan... it's worth it for the extra $65 or so.

Premium Controller with Excellent Performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller from Best Buy and have been very impressed with the quality and performance. The controller feels solid and premium, with customizable paddles, adjustable tension thumbsticks, and great battery life. It’s extremely comfortable to use and noticeably improves gameplay, especially for competitive games. The purchase process at Best Buy was smooth, and the controller arrived in perfect condition. Overall, this is an excellent upgrade for any Xbox or PC gamer, and I highly recommend both the controller and buying it from Best Buy.

With adjustable tension thumbsticks, remappable paddles, and hair-trigger locks, it offers exceptional precision and control. The built-in rechargeable battery lasts up to 40 hours, and its Bluetooth connectivity ensures easy compatibility with both Xbox and PC. Shines Bright but Briefly - Great but Breaks EAsil
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very solid high quality controller. It's substantial weight, interchangable thumbsticks and D pad make for a great gaming experience. Paddles as optional inputs also makes this a great controller. Controller charges by USB C instead of having any internal batteries. Not a deal breaker for me but I can imagine that turns some folks off. My biggest problem is I had stick drift within a few months of using it just outside of the original warranty period. Many people seem to have this problem and it's not easily repairable by end users, even if you're use to taking these things apart. Luckly Microsoft extended the original warranty recently and I was able to get it repaired. Otherwise, I would have had to junk this. This is the 2nd elite controller I've had with the same issue. I would caution anyone against buying this unless you buy the extended warranty.

Great for all types of gamers.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If your looking for input customization for different games and more anaolog options for your thumbs this is the controller for you. I have had my old one for about 4 years and I wouldnt replace it with any other type. I was happy to see they had a cheaper option because all the old parts from my other one still can be used on this one. Also has a lot of weight to it and can take an impact if dropped.

Very good controller
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first thing I noticed is the ruber grips are better designed, it appears they may have fixed the issue that the series 1 controller had with the rubber grips beginning to peel off after a few months. The extra third slot for saving custom controller configurations is nice and the back pedals are now shorter which makes it feel more comfortable in your hand. With the series one controller I always had to take those paddles out if I weren't using them because they would prevent me from gripping the controller the way that felt comfortable for me. The adjustable tensioner for the thumbsticks is nice as well, and the battery does last a decent amount of time before it has to be recharged. The only downside is the fact that the battery pack is built in and cannot be removed. Overall the quality seems to be much better and it has a USB-C charging connector which is better than the old USB-B that the series 1 controller used, which you had to be very careful when connecting the cable; it could only connect one way and made it feel like if you weren't careful you might damage the connector. So far I am very pleased with my purchase.

Great Controller, but sticks still drift
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great controller. The rubberized grips feel good in your hands and it has a very well constructed, sturdy feel to it. The battery life is very long. The case and the charging cable are well built and a very nice touch. I like the fact that Microsoft gave you different sticks to swap out with convex and concave tops, depending on your particular preference, as well as one thumbstick that is taller than the others, for more precise and quicker movement. And that they are attached via magnet is very cool and works great. Then there are the underside paddles for your fingertips, which at first are difficult to get used to, but once you do, help out so much so that you dont have to lift your thumb off the right stick when crouching, interacting, reloading etc. Game changing. The only reason I dont give this controller 5 stars is because around 11 months after owning, both sticks now drift. Do yourself a favor and buy the extended warranty.

Good but pricey
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Materials and textures feel great. The added weight is a plus in my opinion. Trigger travel settings is nice as well as the internal rechargeable battery that should have been in the regular controller to begin with. Ability to save several user profiles is fantastic. Only issue is price. On holiday discount at $135 it's doable. At retail of around $200 is way too much.
