Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the controller's exceptional overall performance, impressive battery life, and extensive customization options. Users also frequently praise the device's comfortable grip, balanced weight, and high-quality tactile feel. However, some customers have expressed concerns regarding the durability of the buttons and bumpers, as well as the early onset of stick drift. Despite these technical frustrations and the premium price point, many still consider it a top-tier gaming accessory.

i have a team of expert reviewers (my three grandsons) who put this controller through an rigorous testing regime over the last few weeks. They all three said that it was great. The fact that it stood up to their nonstop and sometimes energetic playing means that it is durable as well as great.

less than 3 months after purchasing the left stick is already drifting. Other buttons are also starting to feel like they’re underperforming. Very surprised considering I try to be as gentle as possible while using it.

      Hey Fern,

We're sorry that there's an issue with the left thumbstick on your Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. Every new Xbox controller comes with a 90-day limited manufacturer's warranty from Microsoft so we urge you to reach out to Xbox Support for assistance as soon as possible. They can be reached here: https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/controller/wireless-controller-solution

      Hope that helps,

This is a high quality controller, and it has some great features. I did not remove a star for this, but I do not care for the rubberized grips. They can feel sticky at times, but I'm hoping that the feel may improve with use.

Great controller if you have arthritis issues

I was hesitant about the price of this controller, but I am so, so, so glad I went through with buying it. I suffer from hand and thumb issues, and wanted to try a different controller. This Elite Series 2 was recommended by almost every site I researched, and by multiple arthritis forums. My other option was to cut down on my Xbox play time, but right now it helps keep my hands and mind busy during my layoff from work due to quarantine. The features that I (and my hands!) appreciate the most are the extra paddles on the back, and the ability to customize the tension on the joysticks. That was a lifesaver for my poor hands! I prefer the tension to be on the tightest setting so my thumb joints don't have to stretch so far to manipulate the joysticks. I also further adjusted their tension in the controller customization in the Xbox Accessories app on my xbox. It is only day 2 that I have had it, and it's gotten a few hours of use, and I absolutely love how accessible and customizable it is. It is a bit on the heavy side, but it is the only mark against it in my book.

Sturdy construction, quality feel. A lot more durable, IF you get one that was assembled well. I’ve had friends who bought brand new ones that had shoulder button issues in the first month.

For an OEM controller, its great. Durability and longevity really depends on your use. Make sure to get the 2 year extended warranty from Microsoft only. You can buy paddles for cheaper third party

I purchased this controller to replace my Wolverine Chroma from Razer. The idea behind the swtich was the integration of this controller and with the NOW ability to map keyboard functions to it. This is a huge win for those who PC game and console game as well. The Razer Wolverine Chroma, a good controller for sure, has no plans to support that mapping feature, which became somewhat of a dealbreaker: Overall, the feel, ease of use , and the profile functions on the controller are top notch and will be sticking with this controller for a long time.

I love the look of this controller and how it feels in hand; however, once you start using the paddles on the back of the controller playing a game it feels very small and sometimes accidentally clicking the wrong paddle. It is very nice for sure and I love how customizable it is, but needing to go into settings for connected devices, then to finally being able to set it all up how you want… it can be kind of annoying.
