Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the product's great overall performance, excellent battery life, and extensive customization options. They frequently praise its comfortable feel, good weight, and comfortable grip. However, a significant concern raised by users is the issue of stick drift, which appears to develop quickly. The Microsoft Xbox Series Elite Controller feels premium and customizable, with swappable parts and extra features that make gaming smoother. It’s definitely pricier than a regular controller, but the build quality and performance make it worth it for serious gamers.”

The elite 2 core is a good controller, but it has a different feeling than the Elite 2 in general. Mind you, I bought the Elite 2 in 2019, and it was completely rubberized, the buttons had a very premium feel to them and such. The core, doesn’t quite have that feeling. The buttons feel good, but not the same as my old controller. That could be because Microsoft lowered their quality for everything, or it’s the because the core is their “budget” version of the elite. Or it could be they just redesigned things in those past 6 years, who knows. Either way, it does the job very well, it just feels a bit different. Mind you, for $130, I expected it to be much better!

Best controller I've used to date. Has some weight to it and feels grippy. The software allows you to remap buttons and change the color of the x button. Id definitely spend the extra money for the case dock and paddles.

This red Xbox controller is ! The color is bold, the feel is smooth, and it connects instantly. Super comfortable for long sessions and works perfectly on both Xbox and PC. Definitely worth it if you want something that stands out.

The controller its self is very confortable, and easy to set up. Having the option to choose your trigger pull and analog/joystick setup/range is nice as well. My ONLY complain is the stick drift is absolutely terrible after using the control for a few months. I feel like im constantly having to go back and replace the controller cause of the stick drift on the either joysticks. Besides that the controller is very good.

This controller is heavier than the regular Xbox controller. You can change out thumb sticks, d-pad and paddles. The thumb sticks have adjustable tension and it allows you to save four presets including the default to the controller (double the first elite controller). The triggers have three settings which are good for those needing to setup for faster shooting in games. This is a durable alternative to the original controller and totally worth the investment for serious gamers.

    Awesome Competitive Controller

I traded my old Elite Series 2 (RB, back paddles, and B button would get stuck occasionally) for a new Elite Series 2 controller they had at the Best Buy store, and oh boy was the new one better. Now, the buttons and everything function as intended. Onto the specs. The controller is heavy, but I do not mind the weight and it is comfortable. I like the four back paddles as I do not have to remove my thumbs away from the thumbsticks to press the buttons that are on the front of the controller. This is a game-changer for me because you will have a faster response time than other players who own a regular controller and do not own back paddles. Overall, this controller is worth the price if you want a competitive edge and desire everything that is included with this version of the controller. Just be aware that it might be a defective one.

This should be the standard for all controllers to achieve. The amount of tweaking and customizing is insane, and only goes to show how much care Microsoft put into this controller. Travel case, charging dock, swappable d-pads/control sticks, textured grips, cables, tension tool, programmable profiles, trigger stops, paddles, I mean, I don't know what else they could do to make this thing even better. My hat goes off to you, Bravo!

Absolutely love my Elite controller. Heavier weight, textured rear grip, customizable binds, home button color, joy stick resistance, customizable trigger settings, & more. My ONLY issue is the stupid bumpers are still cheaply made. BUY THE WARRANTY!!

Its a great feeling controller that does what a pro should be able to do. Last 40 hours with a single charge, can be customized on the xbox and saves the data. Only draw back is you need to buy the attachments so plan for a extra 50 down the road.

The elite series 2 is the best controller on the market. Paddles are a game changer once you get used to them. Big improvement over the series 1 paddles. Hair triggers are amazing, battery life is crazy good.

[Employee of bestbuy] I originally bought this controller on a whim (I had a rewards certificate that was going to expire). I was originally a Playstation controller person stretching back to my PS2 as a kid, but I'm in love with the elite. The extra weight of the controller was a bit weird at first but now other controllers seem like a cheap toy in comparison. This is high quality and can take a beating as it travels with me. One word of caution: Use the included case if you're traveling with it. Because the D-pad and analog sticks are hot-swappable that means they're also removable. The analog sticks especially can and WILL fall off if you just throw this in a backpack or something. It comes with a really nice case, so just use that. I don't like the paddle buttons in the back but that's okay because you can take them off. Very happy with this purchase and I'll get another one or an Elite 3 when the time comes to replace it.

Battery lasts days, everything is as promised and better. Buttons feel great, grip is amazing doesn’t feel and the controller doesn’t feel broken or cheap. You’ll know you’re holding an amazing piece of technology. Only problem is that I have had it for half a year and the bumpers are already broken, would be a huge issue but I purchased the warranty. Everyone else beware of your controller breaking easily.

Awesome, sleek controller. Has a nice weight to it. The buttons on the back are really convenient for fast-paced gameplay and has an ergonomic design. Love that it is rechargeable, I can go about a week between charges. My only issue is that the 'A' button has already started acting up, only about a month into my use.

The controller is very comfortable and easily costumizable. Also instead of the constant need to change out the batteries this controller contains a built in battery pack you just need to charge and should last up to 1 whole day or even 2 depending on how much you game.

The Elite Series 2 Core is a fantastic middle ground for serious gamers who want high-end performance without the full cost of the original Elite. The build quality is excellent—solid, comfortable, and responsive. The textured grips and adjustable tension thumbsticks make a noticeable difference in precision, especially in competitive shooters and racing games. It’s fully compatible with Xbox Series XS, Xbox One, PC, and cloud gaming setups. While it doesn’t include the paddles or extra accessories out of the box, you can upgrade later with the component pack if needed. Battery life is strong, and the USB-C charging is fast and reliable. If you want a premium feel and customizable performance without going all-in on the full Elite bundle, the Core version delivers where it counts.
