One of the best controllers I ever had even though it’s fragile but it’s worth it

[Employee of bestbuy] Bought the first elite 2 in white, noticed the A button would only register if directly pushed down in the center. I was getting missed presses all the time so i returned it. Got this elite 2 in black and literally exact same issue. A button was missing presses all the time. I returned for full refund and will not even look into these controllers until they can fix the obvious design flaws.

Love the feel - just have to learn all the things it can actually do.

Ordered the elite controller as an open box item in “excellent” condition. Upon opening the box, the first thing I noticed was how filthy the controller was. There was dirt and skin particles on the triggers and in the grooves of the controller. This controller had been well used prior to being resold by Best Buy. Not only was it disgusting, but the right bumper was broken. I took it back to the counter and asked for another open box they had. Upon opening the box, the same story. A dirty controller, but this time the left trigger was broken. I again returned the item, and was told by the store clerk: “Yeah, don’t ever buy open box items from Best Buy, especially controllers. There’s a reason they were returned”. So, Best Buy is knowingly reselling broken items. Buyer beware.

Awesome remote. It feels solid in your hands. It give plenty of cool custom options for different game types.

Controller has been a great purchase, has wireless charging built into the case which is great! Would recommend!

Its a great controller that definitely helps give me that competitive edge with the extra 4 programmable paddles. Plus being able to create so many profiles for different games is a great addition. Unfortunately, the LB/RB buttons wear out quickly, honestly too quickly in my opinion, and in competitive gameplay, a button press not registering on a device that is over $200 but purchased in July is atrociously poor quality on Xbox's part. Thankfully, and I highly suggest if you get this device, I had gotten a 2 year replacement plan.

Ability to do things you cant with a standard controller

Love the customizability. Definitely helped increase my abilities on FPS, which is what I mainly play.

If you are a competitive gamer, this controller will not last for a year. Bumpers fail, drift, and sometimes the paddles don’t work. Causal gamers who barely play will love this controller.

Let’s be fair, the features are phenomenal, everything with it is an upgrade.....ACCEPT for the thumb sticks.... My thumb sticks had input problems after a few months. I’m talking if I moved the stick all the way over, it responded with the SLIGHTEST movement in that direction. A controller at this price should not accumulate wear and tear so easily. MY SERIES 1 controller STILL WORKS, so my guess is it had something to do with the incorporation of TENSION adjustment. Goes to show you why there’s a supply problem, everyone is returning them and getting a second one and then returning it and getting a 3rd and so on. If you got the money, buy 2 if you insist on having the extra features, or find a different option that will last a year (typically I find controllers last a year or so with heavy play) I’m gunna try the FUSION pro and I’ll post a review there after a while.
