I got the product open box and it works perfectly. This controller I haven't had any issues with and for the price I bought it at I would say that it was definitely worth it for me.

The Elite controller is unmatched. My gameplay has increased. From a quicker trigger to more responsive joysticks. I would recommend to buy two.

The Elite Series 2 brings a lot of disappointment. When I first bought the controller I had to return it the next day because the D pad was misaligned. The right D pad button was tilted up, making it harder to press compare to the left D pad button. After 4 months of gaming, my bottom right paddle stopped working and I had to use my warranty to get it replaced which meant I had to rebuy the warranty which costed me another $50. After getting the controller replaced, my left trigger stopper adjuster fell off. On the previous elite the trigger stopper adjusters were made out of a solid plastic but on the Series 2, it’s a tiny toothpick end with a rubber cover. When the cover fell of it made it harder to switch the triggers. Some pros are the new grip design and internal batteries. The Elite 1 rubber grips peeled off after 6 months of gaming and the new design is holding on so far. The internal batteries is a plus with the case as the charger. I visit my friends home a lot and I like bringing my own controller so this is a plus for me. After paying nearly $300 with warranty I’m very disappointed on this product. The price is half of a brand new console. You might as well buy a regular controller and get the $30 StrikePack paddle mods or the PowerA Fusion pro....

It’s so much better than a regular control due to the weight mainly. It’s heavier than a regular remote which I really like. I don’t use most of the bells and whistles this thing has, but no more changing batteries was enough for me to shell out for this controller, everything else is gravy.

So far everything has been on par or better than the series one. great for use both on Xbox one and PC. Haven't personally tried the X,(I haven't been able to get one yet either. You're not alone!) but all the specs say it should work there too! Best part so far is the rubber wont fall off of this model. Unlike the series ones, as the whole case is rubberized. One note, be aware of the cords if you buy off brands later on. the controller itself needs a usb-c input. (The new rounded/oval shaped one.) It comes with all the cords you need though, so not something to worry about right away, but worth knowing that it's not the, used on everything, micro usb like the series one. But it's a better connection for newer machines. So it'll be better for the long run. Outside of fully moving the stick and button positions, (Like some of the wilder custom units.) you can personalize *literally* everything, and you have more variety of thumbstick styles and textures to match what you're actively playing, compared to the series one. It also just has a good feel. It's a simple thing, but it feels solid and well made.

Its what you need. If you need a reliable simple and comfortable controller this is it. Officially licensed and backed by a big company, anything goes wrong(which it does it being heavily abused during online gameplay) then you have xbox 1 year warranty. Feels nice in the hands. Also has rechargeable batteries the way it should.

After months of use I would say that was disappointing a little for the price. I only bought this when I had extra cash and wanted to test a "premium" controller. Control response time was really good, the case is good, alongside the ability to customize anything about the controller. However where it fails is the extra paddles of the controller and even if it's removable. It kinda leaves opening in the back of your controller. Leaving it exposed to dirt and oils from your hands. For people who grew up in the old Xbox era controllers the paddles get in the way more than an added benefit. Otherwise good controller but just a preference issue.

Dont get me wrong, I LOVE this controller… although ive owned two of these and the left bumper is almost guarenteed to start sticking and not taking input. Forcing you to use your paddles as bumpers. Otherwise build quality is pretty good d pad and joysticks very responsive and adjustble triggers are a must. Just watch out for this flaw and be prepared for specificlly the left bumper to fail because it only takes just long enough fir it to get out of warranty.

Yes this is an expensive controller but Microsoft knocked this one out of the park! Love the grip and all of the customizations including making the sticks tight and loose. If you are a competitive gamer especially fps the back paddles are key! Being able to jump and slide while aiming using your sticks has never been easier. I would recommend to anyone!

    AMAZING controller, but 3 negatives

Overall, I LOVE this controller, but I have three comments on it, one major: 1) Immediately upon purchasing it, the A button started sticking. I looked up the issue and this was somewhat common, but people said that it got better with wear over time. This was the case for me as well, so no more issues here 2) (the major one) At the shortest trigger pull setting, the right trigger squeaks SO LOUDLY, that others in the same party can often times hear it over my mic. It’s extremely annoying and I want to know if there is a way to fix this. 3) Not a huge deal, but the controller has an unnoticeable offset in the grips. This is only apparent when set on a flat surface. The controller will rock maybe 0.3-1.0mm. This may be the cause of that trigger squeak, though that is just a theory. These three negative comments aside, this controller is EXCELLENT. The grips are actually extremely durable and the surface stays pretty clean, with no real marring or scratches. Overall, I love this controller.
