a really good buy, best feel on your hands
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Good Stuff: Pure Premium Feel Next-Level Ergonomics: The texturized, wrap-around rubberized grip feels incredible. It has a reassuring weight to it that immediately makes your standard Xbox controller feel like a plastic toy. Performance Tuning: The three-stage hair-trigger locks are a game-changer for shooters, giving you near-instantaneous firing times. You can also adjust the tension of the thumbsticks using the included key, which does wonders for aiming precision. Unrivaled Battery Life: The internal rechargeable battery is a beast, easily pushing toward the advertised 40 hours of playtime on a single charge. The Aesthetics: Let’s be honest—the main reason to buy this specific model is the color. The deep red faceplate contrasted against the black grips and accents looks incredibly sharp. ⚠️ The Catch: Why It's 4 Stars, Not 5 The word "Core" in the official title is doing some heavy lifting here. While you get the premium controller body, Microsoft strips out all the interchangeable parts to keep the entry price lower. Out of the box, you do not get the back paddles, extra thumbsticks, alternative D-pad, or the carrying case/charging dock. If you want the full "Elite" experience with the rear paddles, you have to shell out extra cash for the Component Pack, or buy third-party accessories. For a controller at this price tier, leaving the rear paddle slots empty feels a bit stingy. Additionally, anyone familiar with the Elite lineup knows that stick drift and bumper durability can be a roll of the dice long-term, though my unit is holding up perfectly so far.

Good but pricey
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Materials and textures feel great. The added weight is a plus in my opinion. Trigger travel settings is nice as well as the internal rechargeable battery that should have been in the regular controller to begin with. Ability to save several user profiles is fantastic. Only issue is price. On holiday discount at $135 it's doable. At retail of around $200 is way too much.

When You Are Serious
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are the sort of person that even considers dropping nearly $200 on a controller then you know this is already for you. I owned and initially had a dislike of the Series 1 Elite, too heavy, too ugly, too battery dependent. That’s all gone. If they didn’t indeed save weight they did a better job of spreading it out. Battery life is now tied to an internal pack so be sure to get the warranty. Should anything happen in the rare instance of a bad battery you will be able to replace. Don’t worry about your settings, you can save 250 profiles for your controller. That’s likely more profiles than you have games (unless you’re the sort that already bought this controller). The new lighter weight and textured grip have yielded much improved ergonomics and better gameplay. The free app available wherever this controller connects is a very detailed look at what you can configure and save. The included charging stand and case are impeccably designed. Finally, the much lauded switch to USB-C allows me to connect the Series X|S regular controllers for updates.

The price is a bit high
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While the Microsoft Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller is an exceptional gaming accessory, there is one aspect that could be improved upon. The controller's premium price point may be a deterrent for some gamers. The higher cost may limit its accessibility to a wider audience, especially those on a tight budget. However, considering the remarkable features and customization options it offers, the Elite Series 2 controller can still be seen as a worthwhile investment for serious gamers who prioritize performance and personalization. Ultimately, while the price may be a drawback for some, the overall quality and features of the controller make it a compelling choice for dedicated gamers.

She loves it and has since accessorized it. No stick drift and she loves how comfy it feels while gaming. The grips are comfortable for long sessions and battery life is great. My experience
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller is amazing at the beginning but as time went on i started to notice some functional errors like my a button stopped working properly then it works now. The left trigger stick doesnt work when i put it on fast trigger mode and now my controller started to drift and i never had any of my controller drift before. The thing i enjoy about this controller is the feel of it and i like how the charge last a long time and i don't gotta wait long for a quick charge or use batteries. Anyways get this controller if its on sale full price ain't worth it in the due to the difficulties i had after awhile.

They did it again!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want the best and most durable controller on the market for your gaming needs, look no further. I had a normal Xbox One X controller and I liked the improvments that they made when the Series X came out however I couldn't shake the feeling that it was an overall cheap feeling controller. That's when I had to pony up for something with a little more weight and durability. The weight of the controller is perfect and the rubberized palm areas are great for grip. I don't really play fighting games so I don't use the D-Pad piece that you see in the pictures, just the normal one you would see on any controller. The ability to change the trigger stops at 3 different positions is very nice and a great addition from the older Elite controller. Overall everything has a nice click and solid feel, hopefully with the right care this thing will be the last controller you'll ever need.

Xbox Elite Controller Series 2
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has been my first xbox elite controller and it has been the best controller ever. It feels amazing in hand and has a nice weight to it! The sticks don’t stick at all and they glide around with ease! I also love that I can change the d-pad and the analog sticks. I got the white controller and ordered some purple paddles, analog sticks, and d-pad and it looks amazing! Would definitely recommend this controller to anyone that enjoys to game!

Excellent function, but unreliable
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller is excellent from the standpoint of functionality, ergonomics, and customizability. It has everything from multiple profiles, customizable triggers, adjustable stick tension, swappable D-Pads, and 2-4 paddles depending on user preference. It's also basically plug and play on PC. Where it falls short is build quality. Despite being quite an expensive controller, it has only a 1 year warranty, which admittedly is up from the 90 days offered on the Elite v1. I have returned 7 of these in the last 4 years - they do not last. Stick drift, sticking triggers, and unresponsive bumpers (typically R1) are the most common issues. I don't think any of them have lasted a full year. They're also the same issues I had on the Elite v1. Given that it's almost a decade since the original Elite was released, I think it's clear the manufacturer isn't willing or able to address the quality control issues. This is underscored by the fact that a bare bones version (the Core) was released without the Series 2 accessories. Presumably this was to offer a lower cost option to people whose controllers had failed, and were out of warranty.

Ease of use, Configuration, Build Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller is an amazing piece to have for a gamer. This controller is a must if you are a more competitive player in certain games. The unit is premium with a bit of heft to it, so keep that in mind. The back paddles have a nice premium touch, while they conform to your hand without feeling awkward. The device itself has many presets you can configure as well. My last one lasted six years, so yes do not drop it so it can last you.

The build quality feels premium and solid, with a great weight in the hands. Battery life is excellent, and I love that it works seamlessly across my Xbox Series X, PC, and even cloud gaming. Great controller for gamers
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am extremely happy with my purchase of the Microsoft Elite Series 2 controller. The build quality is top-notch and it feels great in my hands. The interchangeable thumbsticks and paddles allow for customization to fit my personal gaming style. The added Bluetooth feature makes it easy to connect to my PC and mobile devices. The battery life is also impressive, lasting for well over a week with regular use. The software that comes with the controller, allows me to remap buttons and set up profiles for different games. The only downside is the price, but it's worth the investment for the level of precision and control it provides. I highly recommend this controller to any serious gamer.

Great Entry Point for Pro Controllers
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The price is competitive comparitave to other pro controllers on the market. The customization options offered in the bundle are nice. Have not had an issue with drift or any buttons not working out of the box. With normal play, the controller should last about as long as a normal comtroller would especially if you keep it in its case. The case allows for the dock to be connected to the usb and charge the controller while protected inside. The Xbox accessories app works nicely when mapping different profiles for the controller as well. If you have concerns with the controller malfunctioning, buy an extended warranty.

100% Honest review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this remote despite some of the negative reviews I’ve read about it. I’ve owned it for a little over a month now and have used it almost daily. From my experience I’d give it a 9/10. It feels really good in my hands, slightly heavier than the original Xbox remote. I like the fact that you can charge it inside of its case when it’s not being used and the case is really sleek and durable. The battery easily lasts a few days without charging. The only issue that I’ve had with it is that it has drifted 2 or 3 times so I know that it does exist now. It hasn’t happened often, and it’s not a continuous issue so far but it has happened and you immediately notice when it occurs. Besides that I do enjoy this remote and would definitely recommend it if your into shooters like COD, Apex, Halo, ex…my only suggestion would be to pay for the extended warranty.

Great for Serious gaming
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The grip for the palm of the hands is really nice when holding the controller. The extra buttons are a nice addition although I don’t like the 2 bigger ones the first 2 is good enough for most games. The customization around the joysticks and the types of sensitivity is very helpful for different kinds of games. The case that it came with is nice for on the go and you can even charge it through the case! I overall was very pleased with this product!
