Pros don't outweigh the Cons of this controller.

I purchased this controller while it was on sale, which, sadly to say would be the only time I'd buy one. Within two months of owning it, the left analog stick developed drift, essentially overnight. It became so bad that I couldn't set the controller down without a character walking in a random direction, or a movie/show skipping forward. I store the controller in it's case, and cleaned it regularly. I had to have this controller replaced five times within it's 1-year warranty from MS and each one failed in almost the exact same way. There are other instances where buttons don't register and/or take multiple presses to execute the action on screen, or to pause a movie. Cons aside, the controller does have a few pros(weight, paddles, overall feel/comfort) but honestly none of these outweigh the cost and very clear QC issues that plague these controllers, buy at your own risk.

Good: Excellent controller, takes everything you like about a regular Xbox controller and makes it better. Adds bottom ABXY paddles so you can keep your right thumb of the joystick. USB-C charging and good battery life. Swappable sticks, nice case. Adjustable trigger length is awesome- I use it on the shortest setting for everything but racing games Meh: price is high- $120 seems more reasonable. Warranty was initially 90 days, Microsoft has bumped that to 1 year due to “mechanical failures” Bad: left stick has failed after 10 months of light and gentle use. An additional 2-3 year warranty feels like a requirement at this price point

Controller is very nice to use and you wont want to go back to a normal xbox controller after but wear and tear can hit it pretty hard. Bumpers fail often, stick drift is decently frequent, and I've even had an A button stop working. Protection plan is almost a must, but it has been one of my favorite controllers.

A must have. Great quality, the heft of the controller adds to the ease of use. Adjustable settings are unique and add to the customization experience. Just a bit on the pricey side.

Controller looks good and is easy to hold and use. My previous elite controller had bumper issues after a couple of years. Not a big deal but we will see how this one holds up. Otherwise it is more comfortable to use than the standard controller. Price is a little steep but controller is more enjoyable to use.

This is the best and worst controller xbox puts out. It feels amazing in your hand and the charging feature is awesome. All the different buttons on the back are great. Only issue is i had to return 2 of these before i found one that the triggers didn't feel sticky right out the box. I watched some YouTube videos on the issue and i fixed the 3rd one by putting an alcohol pad in the back of the trigger with a skinny piece of metal. Apparently there's glue or something that is always back there. After several week my right thumb stick drifts. Other than the stupid issues it's still way better than the ones the xbox comes with.

The best controller out there for X Box Series X & S consoles! Tons of customization for the controller. The added details and buttons make it comfortable for hours of gaming. The grip is superb, the interchangeable buttons are amazing. Never going back to the controllers that come with the console. Liked it so much I bought 2 for my setup (bedroom & living room Series X consoles). Also, I like the case and charging station that the Elite has, the ‘Core’ model doesn’t come with it.

It works good when brand new, within a few month of gameplay. Either the left or the right thumbsticks get stick drift. Then I have to get it exchanged l. BestBuy makes it easy to exchange broken warrantied items with their yearly renewable total protection plan as well.

This is my 2nd Elite Series Xbox controller. Size, feel, quality is top notch. The paddles are very comfortable and the controller comes with additional paddle and button options for personal preferences. It is easy to connect to the console and the charging station is fantastic. Nothing bad to say about this controller. Highly recommend.

the customization and feel of this controller is fantastic. I have the first one and the changes with this one is par with what you would expect. Ive always been terrible with controllers and wanted to try the elite and have not been disappointed at all. The elite 2 is smaller but heavier than the first I prefer the size of the original but I weight of the second one is better in my opinion. I like the fact that you can change how stiff the sticks are and the paddles underneath are also stiff which is great. In the original if you set it down just right the paddles would press and with this second elite you have more freedom of where to place your controller. I set it down on the arm of my chair. One last thing is I'm glad that they finally included the battery.

I was hesitant to buy this again. The first one I got for Christmas from my wife. Brand new right out of the box it was defective and had stick drift and I was pretty disappointed.. was impossible to play first person shooters like call of duty. So We returned and if getting it from Walmart was the reason I don’t know..Then bought it from bestbuy and wow!! I’m really impressed and enjoy using this for Warzone.. grippy and a little heavier but has a nice feel with a lot of settings.. good thing I took a chance on it again.. worth the buy!

Great controller, has proven to be more durable than the original elite 2 while being slightly lighter in weight. Ive used elite 2 controllers for about 3 years and the bumpers always fail withing the first year or shortly after and this elite core has been running the longest, so in comparison i definitely would put the core on top, and you can get cool colors.

This controller, albeit really expensive is SOOOO nice. I had the original elite controller and it held up ok in retrospect, had it for a few years but the rubber grips on the side were starting to peel. With this version it looks like Microsoft learned from their mistakes and made a 2 piece handle that can be easily replaced. The controller feels lighters and I love the rechargeable battery the tactile feel of the grip handles. Honestly I could go on and on about this controller, but if you're considering buying it its because you game alot and you want the best. This controller is hands down the best and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

I’ll be comparing this to the first Xbox Elite controller. Pros -Built in Battery Life about 40 hours -Grips are nice -feels sturdier sand hopefully does not break as easily as the first. Cons -Syncing bugs sometimes -Three Trigger lock positions are not necessary. Bigger hands may hold the contain the uncomfortable Trigger locks as they take up more room than the first. Middle Trigger one which I want to use doesn’t lock as nice as the other locks. Controller is very uncomfortable for people who hold tight at times if your on the trigger lock. For me, I use this as a replacement for a keyboard with a mouse on PC. Not as comfy as the first because of that lock. -Trigger lock is big now for some reason.

I was kind of hesitant on buying this over the regular xbox controller (I'm a PC gamer) but I'm glad I did. I didn't like having to change batteries and I wanted to have something more customizable and this fits the bill. I've gamed for hours and it's so comfortable.

[Employee of bestbuy] This is by far the best and worst controller on the market. It's comfortable in the hand, the paddle position is top-tier, and it feels like a quality controller. Not to mention, I physically cannot switch to a different controller after using all the features this offers. The only downside is that the internals are mostly plastic, so stick drift and the bumpers becoming unusable are common with this controller. I've personally gone through 4 of these controllers, but I keep coming back.

I play a lot of Destiny and love this controller. It has a premium feel to it and it's much better than the previous elite controller. There's added customization, rubberized grips on both sides, USB C, and a longer battery life.

I loved the V1 controller - except the rubber grips that separated, and not because of water, or sweat, or oil, or anything else, they simply separated due to poor construction. This one seems to have addressed that issue, the design is different for how the rubber is attached. As for the rest, I didn't use all four bottom paddles on the original, I didn't like their placement, but the new one I'm using all four happily, but I don't know if that's simply because I became more accustomed to bottom controls using a Razor wired controller, or because these are arranged differently. Control is spot on. Unlike the Razor, I absolutely love the buttons here, no mushy feeling like the Razors (I had both versions of the Razor with the buttons on the bottom, the 2 button and the four button one), they're crisp and sharp, you can feel the click and know it engaged. Sticks are great, the default tension was good for me so I didn't have to adjust that at all, but now you can if you like a looser or tighter feel. Only one taller stick is included, so if you want higher sticks for both, you'll have to buy another stick from some source. No issues with pairing, no issues with this not turning the Xbox on anytime. Battery life has been amazing, I can do day long stretches of Destiny for days in a row before I have to connect - and the USB C charging is way better, I can use my laptop's cable while I play if needed when it runs low as I'm using it. The included little charger base works well. I've always loved the Xbox One controller form factor, it's my favorite of all consoles (and yes, I have every one out there other than the PS4 pro). Nothing fits as naturally in my hand, and this is right there, that wonderful "Feels like it's part of your body" contours that make it comfortable for extended gaming sessions. Shoulder buttons and triggers are responsive and I almost never accidentally hit one of the shoulder buttons, so that's a bonus compared to the Razor... I like the adjustable trigger travel as well. My downsides - I'm not a fan of the grip. Yes, it's designed better than the first gen, and shouldn't come apart, but it's more plasticy, not as grippy, so I wish it was just a bit tackier to the touch. Second issue, I wish the batteries were replaceable at the user end. But all told, definitely a solid follow up on what was the perfect controller until it came apart.

Recently bought this controller due to my scuf having stick drift the amount of customization you can do with this controller is insane and it feels really good in hand with the textured handles and also comes with trigger stops , back buttons that you can make any button and other joysticks overall 9/10 if it didn’t get stick drift it would be a 10 definitely worth the money

I grew up a PS fanboy, but I have to give credit where it is due. This controller from xbox is unmatched in battery life (about 10 times its Playstation counterpart), there are more paddles, support for magnetic charging through the case, they are hugely customizable. Finally, they are heavily supported, which is also more than i can say for the ps counterpart. They dont even support their own controller on their own pc app.
