Right Bumper Issues after 3 Months

After only 3 months of less than 3-hours a day of play my right bumper only intermittently responds to inputs. I have since found out this is a known issue for this product. Without the ability to purchase a protection plan to cover this issue I would not purchase this product and even if there was a protection plan offered that covers this issues I would be hesitant to buy it. If Microsoft corrects this issue I'd probably have rated this product with 5 stars, because excluding this major flaw the controller is great and vast improvement over it's predecessor.

It's never been dropped. Other than that small flaw the sticks feel amazing and better than the older elite controllers. I'm not sure on how the rubber with withstand normal use as I haven't had it that long. But it feels like it's all one piece instead of stick on like the older elites.
