This controller has great quality although its durability tends to present stick drift after only a few months. I have tried other controllers such as the new turtle beach elite controller and this is far superior for the price, however, unless you are willing to return the controller after six months for a refurbished one or buy a kit to repair this yourself it will almost always get drift relatively soon. I had a series 1 and it was amazing after years of use. I have had 4 series two and the controllers always have issues with drift or the bumpers stop working correctly. These have been reduced in price recently without all of the extras, however, a regular controller will get the job done for half the price.

Love the self charging option. I was due for an upgrade and this is a beast. Love the heavier feel and crisp controls compared to old elite and especially the standard controller.

The best controller out there, but be sure to get a service plan. I've had a few Elites and all but one have had an issue where one of the bumpers stops responding. Other than that it's by far the best controller for PC and for Xbox, obviously.

Really good controller and comfortable grip. Only issue is that I didn't have the replacement parts that it came with like it sated on the box. but overall quite happy with it, plus really long battery life. I only had to charge maybe once or twice since I bought

I was skeptical about paying so much for an Xbox controller, but so far, this one is proving to be superior to all of our previous buys. My Kiddos both say this controller has no drift and is much more comfortable to hold and navigate. Seems as though Microsoft could lower the price a bit, still IMO. But, for what it's worth, there really is a noticeable difference!

Definitely a great controller. Nice weight and the buttons feels more premium than the non elites. Only downside is the price. This is worth the investment if you game a lot on pc or Xbox. The buttons on the back are programmable but only with the inputs that are already on the controller. I could not find a way to map it with a macro or a specific key.

Love all the features of this controller, feels solid and of good quality. Some people complain about the weight but it makes it feel premium to me. I suggest get the the geek squad protection since I feel like no controller is safe from the eventual stick drift or a button messing up.

There's not one bad thing I could say about this controller the build quality is incredible the option to change out every single thing on the controller the coolest future ever you can adjust the tension on the phone sticks you have to back paddles on each side that you can control and take off you can set your triggers to Hairpin or all the way push the grip keep your hands from getting clammy its literally the best controller I have ever held. Just put it back in its case to charge no more batteries packs. Its just perfect.

I like the first elite controller, but it took a lot of abuse. The second elite controller has nice grips and texture on it. I bought an open box controller but so far it has everything and works perfect perfectly.

The paddles on the back with custom binds create a competitive advantage in game. The controller has good weight to it as well and doesn’t feel cheap. I will say I recommend getting the protection plan on it as the bumpers get stuck and stick drift is very common so I’m always swapping out for new ones.

    Massive Improvement Over The Original

This controller is a big improvement over the original Elite with the built in battery pack, and enhanced D-pad. The only thing I had to make modifications to are the paddles on the back because my hands are big and I wasn't able to hold the controller normally, so I ordered a duplicate set of paddles and used the shorter sets for top and bottom. I took it a step further and trimmed about 1/4 inch off the top paddles and now it's perfect. It's unfortunate that Microsoft didn't offer a couple different variants of paddles for people with larger hands, but it's still a solid controller and worth every penny.

I cannot express how much I enjoy this controller. If you're looking to get a high end, customized gaming experience then this is a no brainer. The controller has nice weighty feel to it and the buttons have a good tactile sensation. It takes a little bit to figure out the button mapping features and customization but once you do it's a dream. The best part is the battery life, this thing can go for hours upon hours before needing a charge. The charging cradle works incredibly well and I've had no issues with the contacts. All in all if it's something you're willing to spend the money on you will not regret this purchase

There's a lot of reviews out there discrediting this controller as being unreliable or easily damaged. I've had it for four months now and play almost every day and have had zero issues. I did, however, purchase the replacement plan to cover myself in case there are some issues down the road, but everything's good so far. Feels premium and built in battery and charging dock are super convenient.

This was a great change in controller scheme from the normal controller. The paddles on the bottom were fantastic. In FPS games, being able to map the face buttons to the paddles means I didn't have to take my finger off the right thumb stick while playing. Made being a shotgun ape a little easier. The customizations are also a nice feature, different thumb sticks you can put on, different direction pad. Also, the weight of the controller feels nice. Feels solid in your hand. 2 stars cause after 7-8 months of ownership the left joy stick tracking started getting wonky, specifically in the up direction. Presents itself in I'll be running in COD or Destiny, and just all of a sudden come to a walk. Like the controller just forgets your pushing full forward. Have to release and reengage the run, which in a shooter is certainly a difference between winning and losing a fight. Very disappointing that a controller that cost almost half as much as the console developed issues in under a year, and only has a 6 month warranty. My original, included with the Xbox controller is still going strong after years of ownership. Recommend from a feature standpoint. Do not recommend from a quality/standing behind the product stand point. Understand quality issue can happen to anyone, but only a 6 month warranty on a $200 controller, just disappointing.
