Awful reliability. Base xbox controller hardware.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Expensive controller but lacking build reliability. The bumper press is registered using a flimsy piece of plastic and a very janky tactile switch setup involving an odd piece of film. Many users report having to replace switch and bumpers conatantly. Repairs are doable but then you are no longer covered by warranty. If you want a controller for pc gaming just get a ps5 controller. Returned firs

Poor quality
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 2 of these. On the first one, the up on the left joystick doesn't work. You have to move it around in the up position to get it to move forward. The second one the left bumper started sticking and now you have to press it really hard to get it to work. You'd think for $180 you'd get a quality controller, but it's just a regular junk controller with some extra buttons and grips.

My Honest Review on the Xbox Elite Controller Gen2
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let’s start at the beginning, I've owned nearly each version of the Xbox controllers. From the day one gen 1, the gen 2 Bluetooth, up to the series x/s controllers. Personally, the controller is a bit pricy for what you get but its still worth the price in the end. Compared to the gen 1 and gen 2 controllers (only difference is that the gen 2 has Bluetooth support with mobile devices and your pc) And the series x/s which moved to the superior C-Type port (finally!) and has textured grips. Keyword being textured, its still plastic so your palms can still get sweaty on intense or prolonged gaming sessions. Why did I write all this? Well to make a comparison from the standard controllers I've owned to the Elite Controller Series 2 that I now currently use. Myself personally I play a lot of PC games and racing simulators, so the paddles really help when playing manual versus having to use the buttons or bumpers. Also like the switch pro controller, you can connect it to your android device for various mobile games such as Fortnite and COD Mobile. However, I mainly use the Bluetooth paring to connect it to my pc for games that just personally feel better with a controller, such as Rivals Of Aether, Monster Hunter: World, and Saints Row. The stick customization is what really got me to buy the controller, it comes with different sticks of varying lengths and types. Most importantly, the controller uses real, that's right real rubber! For me who plays long and grinding game sessions when my palms can get sweaty, depending on the intensity of the game. Having rubber grips on the top and bottom of the controller is what I really enjoy. being rubber and not plastic, my hands hardly sweat at all. And lastly the internal battery, omg you have no idea how excited I was when I learned that it has an internal rechargeable battery that has up to 40 hours on a full charge. No need to buy a 12 pack of AA's just for my controller. Now for the controllers cons. First off is the price, sheesh $179.99 is pretty pricey, and it goes up to $200 if you get a warranty. (which I highly recommend if your controller starts acting up or breaks) Second is the Bluetooth paring, don't get me wrong, when connected to an Xbox it's absolutely flawless. But when I connect it to my PC, sometimes it starts having input lag. Depending on the game, this can decide whether you live or die, I'll use Monster Hunter: World as an example. I can't tell you how awful it is to be fighting a Tempered Rajang and have your controller start lagging just to get killed by his mouth beam. But that's an easy fix. As someone who uses galaxy phones, I just grab the charger from my phone and use it as a wired connection from the controller to the pc. This fixes the issue but it's a minor problem with a simple work around so its not too much of a deal breaker. Overall, I would suggest that you should buy this controller IF you're in need of a new one.
