Investment, but worth every penny and frustration
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent controller and entirely customizable for personal use or even special use cases in games you want different control styles. It is built like a brick s-house. The problems arise when connected to PC to game as advertised. The connection drop outs using bluetooth are infuriating. And yet, even with the cost, I refuse to use anything else. I even bought a second one for the game room in the basement. They are just that good. Certain games will have connection drops, such as Halo Infinite Campaign, AC Vallhalla, and Cyber Punk 2077. Some of those titles have somehow fixed the issue (or it has stopped happening to me at least) but some games persist in dropping connection. And its not a battery thing, or a pc problem. Its the actual controller signal. Heres the thing though, its worth the few headaches. I cant imagine not using these to game. They also have a great feature to allow more than one connection. You can connect it to your PC and if you want to quickly swap to an already connected xbox series x then you douple tap the tiny connection button and it should swap control to the new device as long as you have previously setup that connection. Well.made, accurate response, smooth triggers that can customize travel distance, extra paddles can be installed on the back, shoulder buttons are the best you have ever used, and the sticks have zero dead zone issues. Its an expensive beast, but it is worth it. You wont ever pickup the base contoller again once using the elite 2. Plus, it charges using usb c

Great controller but...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great controller but the buttons tend to stop working and you get stick drift alot. Microsoft needs to rework these controllers big time. They do have great battery life though. Buy a warranty on this because after a year you will need another controller.

Amazing Controller -- Be sure to get insurance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the prior Elite Controller and loved it. The Series 2 is a noticeable step up. Performs amazingly in every aspect you would expect. I also own a Razer Wolverine Ultimate and the Elite out performs it in comfort, design, and precision. Unfortunately with such high precision there is a down side. - Down side, mico stick drift did start within 3 months of use but again if you have Best buy insurance just exchange it if it ever gets noticeable. - Friends have had bumpers go out but at 6 months of use I have had no major issues.

For three times the price I expect more.
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the controller for about 10 months. It's a great controller but the lack of reliability keeps me from recommending it. A normal Xbox One controller will last 6-8 months for me (No, I'm not hard on my controller I just use it a lot). So instead of spending another $60 on a regular controller I paid $180 for an Elite Series 2 controller. It's a really well built controller, very comfortable for long periods of use, good battery life, and tons of customization using the app. I didn't buy this controller to use the extra buttons on the back or for the swappable sticks/D-pad. I bought this expecting something that would last me longer than a standard Xbox One controller typically does- I was sick of replacing them twice a year. Up on the D-pad has started to double press, while left and right require a lot more pressure. The left analog stick is drifting constantly. The A button doesn't stick exactly but it's definitely not as responsive as the B,X,Y ones. There are some issues with the vibration as well (will swap between slight vibration and jackhammer randomly).

Good for casual gaming
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very solid controller. Perfect for casual gaming - great grip, good sensitivity. You need something better for competitive gaming. For the price, I would go with a different controller.

First day out
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ll be updating my review as time goes, but I just want to say out the box first day my gaming experience changed instantly! I do have to get used to the paddles again but no biggie. As of right now this is easily the best $200 I’ve ever wasted.

Poor quality materials, will not last
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned this controller for 3 years give or take. I have never thrown or dropped this controller. I have always kept it in its case, on my desk. It has never traveled or been taken anywhere. It has never had a single drop of liquids touch it. I had to have it replaced twice due to manufacturer defects. I have babied this thing, because I have cancer and cannot work, I cannot afford the astronomical price to replace it. But after hearing the rattle of something small moving around inside the controller for a few weeks, I decided to open it up today. What I found should be an absolute embarrassment for Microsoft. Upon further inspection, it became obvious to me that the plastic that is used to make this controller was deteriorating on its own. The grips were peeling off, several chunks of thin flimsy plastic had somehow broken off on their own on the interior of the controller. Again, this controller has never, not once, absorbed any kind of shock. There has not been a single event or instance that could have caused even a single piece of the controller to break. Yet somehow, there are several broken off pieces and parts. The only conclusion I can come to is that Microsoft uses extremely cheap materials to make them. And for a $200 controller, that is shameful. And with the warranty only being a year, its pretty clear that Microsoft is 100% aware that this controller will not last. And now here I am, clearly a fool for trusting Microsoft to make a quality, top of the line controller. What a huge letdown. When it works correctly, I loved it. But between stick drift and constant bumper issues, along with the very cheap materials used, I cannot recommend this in good conscience. I have a 3rd party Xbox One controller that has seen at least double the use, been dropped, thrown, tossed, had soda, water, coffee, etc. spilled on it (it is used by my kids), and is also 2 years older, that works flawlessly still to this day and cost 1/5 of the price. I feel a bit scammed. This controller has so much potential, if only Microsoft put some care and quality craftmanship into the manufacturing process. Instead, they are trying to fool us into having to buy a new one every year or 2.

Best controller I own.
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best little controller on the plaent. I've owned a variety of Xbox and playstation controllers. I loved this feel this one had. Was slim and loved the additional buttons for a more customized gaming experience. This bad boy lasted me 2 years I plan on getting another one of these.

Better then expected
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The right thumbstick on my elite 1 controller started to develop a delay in it so I gave the elite 2 a try. I didnt expect anything ground breaking, how can Microsoft really improve it? Well they did, this controller feels much better then the old elite controller. The adjustable thumbsticks are great. You can now have more then 2 profiles accessible from the controller. I've read some are having issues with quality right out of the box with is unfortunate since these elite 2 controllers are hard to get but if you get a good, it's a great investment

||Posted . Overall still like the remote, just wish it was produced better similar to the Xbox 360 remotes.
