Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the product's great overall performance, impressive battery life, and extensive customization options, along with its comfortable feel and good weight. However, a significant concern among users is the prevalence of stick drift and issues with button quality, particularly with the bumpers and A button. The price is also a point of hesitation for some.

As advertised. Paddles are a must for competitive gaming. These typically have quality control issues but have no experienced anything yet (have previously returned two controllers with the extended warranty via BestBuy where the bumper stopped working).

Recently bought this controller due to my scuf having stick drift the amount of customization you can do with this controller is insane and it feels really good in hand with the textured handles and also comes with trigger stops , back buttons that you can make any button and other joysticks overall 9/10 if it didn’t get stick drift it would be a 10 definitely worth the money

I’ll be comparing this to the first Xbox Elite controller. Pros -Built in Battery Life about 40 hours -Grips are nice -feels sturdier sand hopefully does not break as easily as the first. Cons -Syncing bugs sometimes -Three Trigger lock positions are not necessary. Bigger hands may hold the contain the uncomfortable Trigger locks as they take up more room than the first. Middle Trigger one which I want to use doesn’t lock as nice as the other locks. Controller is very uncomfortable for people who hold tight at times if your on the trigger lock. For me, I use this as a replacement for a keyboard with a mouse on PC. Not as comfy as the first because of that lock. -Trigger lock is big now for some reason.

I grew up a PS fanboy, but I have to give credit where it is due. This controller from xbox is unmatched in battery life (about 10 times its Playstation counterpart), there are more paddles, support for magnetic charging through the case, they are hugely customizable. Finally, they are heavily supported, which is also more than i can say for the ps counterpart. They dont even support their own controller on their own pc app.

The controller has great responsiveness, comfort, and versatility. It has a quality feel because of the rubberized grips, and a built-in rechargeable battery lasts a long time.

I play a lot of Destiny and love this controller. It has a premium feel to it and it's much better than the previous elite controller. There's added customization, rubberized grips on both sides, USB C, and a longer battery life.

I loved the V1 controller - except the rubber grips that separated, and not because of water, or sweat, or oil, or anything else, they simply separated due to poor construction. This one seems to have addressed that issue, the design is different for how the rubber is attached. As for the rest, I didn't use all four bottom paddles on the original, I didn't like their placement, but the new one I'm using all four happily, but I don't know if that's simply because I became more accustomed to bottom controls using a Razor wired controller, or because these are arranged differently. Control is spot on. Unlike the Razor, I absolutely love the buttons here, no mushy feeling like the Razors (I had both versions of the Razor with the buttons on the bottom, the 2 button and the four button one), they're crisp and sharp, you can feel the click and know it engaged. Sticks are great, the default tension was good for me so I didn't have to adjust that at all, but now you can if you like a looser or tighter feel. Only one taller stick is included, so if you want higher sticks for both, you'll have to buy another stick from some source. No issues with pairing, no issues with this not turning the Xbox on anytime. Battery life has been amazing, I can do day long stretches of Destiny for days in a row before I have to connect - and the USB C charging is way better, I can use my laptop's cable while I play if needed when it runs low as I'm using it. The included little charger base works well. I've always loved the Xbox One controller form factor, it's my favorite of all consoles (and yes, I have every one out there other than the PS4 pro). Nothing fits as naturally in my hand, and this is right there, that wonderful "Feels like it's part of your body" contours that make it comfortable for extended gaming sessions. Shoulder buttons and triggers are responsive and I almost never accidentally hit one of the shoulder buttons, so that's a bonus compared to the Razor... I like the adjustable trigger travel as well. My downsides - I'm not a fan of the grip. Yes, it's designed better than the first gen, and shouldn't come apart, but it's more plasticy, not as grippy, so I wish it was just a bit tackier to the touch. Second issue, I wish the batteries were replaceable at the user end. But all told, definitely a solid follow up on what was the perfect controller until it came apart.

Been an xbox gamer since the very beginning. This is the absolute best controller I've ever used. The ability to customize the pull on the triggers was huge. I like them on the midpoint setting so if you're playing FPS it takes less time and there is also a hair trigger option as well. The extra buttons on the back are customizable and make it great for certain games where you don't want to take your right thumb off the stick to hit a face button. Its a lot heavier than the original controller but all the components are higher quality. And the texturized grips on the handles make for non slip and feel good. Battery life lasts a long time and its internal. Overall price is what it is but you're getting really good quality for what you're purchasing.

Amazing controller. Premium feeling. It's great. But the stick drift that happens can come on very quickly. Also, the RB/LB buttons are fragile and don't hold up for a long time. Get the warranty so you can replace it when one or both issues come up.

I got this as a Christmas gift and have really enjoyed it thus far. I really love the feel and grip of this controller, along with the customization that comes with the interchangeable pieces (which require no tools/all magnetic). As a more “casual” gamer, while I really do enjoy it, I’m not certain I’d say personally that it’s worth near $200 and not certain I’d buy it on my own had I not recorded it as a gift. For more hard core games, maybe, but if you’re a more casual gamer, I don’t know if there’s just that much more value in this over a standard, far less expensive XBox controller. But if you’re getting as a gift (for free) or just got the money to burn, it’s definitely a great controller.

Love this controller. Surprised how good the battery life is, bought this on release day and have only had to charge it 3 times after using it for a bit more than a month now. There have been some complaints that some of these controllers are a bit defective, so just in case I put warranty on this. The one I bought seems to be fine though, the only slight thing is if I press the A button on the edge it may not register. If I press the A button in the center though it tends to always work. I just recommend testing the controller using some sort of program and see if it works. The controller overall feels of a very nice build quality, I feel it is more comfortable than the xbox one S controller and don't really ever have hand fatigue after playing for a long time.

Excellent controller. Feels weighty in your hand, latency over bluetooth is non-existent. The parts are all quality made and I love the trigger pressure options and overall customizability. I’ve seen some have complained of stick drift, but I haven’t encountered any. Just wish it was slightly less expensive. Highly recommended if you want a quality controller for xbox/pc gaming.

Look this thing isn’t cheap. If you’re a pro-level gamer, get it. Likes nice things, get it. Likes to have more options than you know what to do with it, get it. If none of that applies to you, don’t get it. The regular controller more than fits the bill for most gamers. Here’s a quick Pros/Cons list. Pros: -Incredible battery life -More customization features than the Series 1 Elite controller -Feels well built, great quality feeling -Built in dock-to-charge feature with charge enabled case Cons: -Pricey $$ -Slight learning curve with the new features, more so if this is your experience with this type of controller -Mostly likely you will never share this controller with anyone else lol

This controller definitely comes with a price premium and I was hesitant to shell out that much for a controller, but with my original Elite on its last leg after years of use, I decided to give it a chance and I was not disappointed. First off, it's very comfortable- I love the grips they chose and how they made them go all the way around the controller this time. I also like that they've added a grip texture to the shoulder buttons, a nice touch. Like the original, this one includes 3 sets of thumb sticks. This time however, they're a little different. I think it has a set of 360 control sticks this time, at least they feel that way to me. I've been playing around with a few different ones and I've enjoyed using them all for different games. The d-pad of course is pretty much the same and that's not much of an issue. Both the d-pad and the circular d-pad are fantastic. The paddles are similar to the original but have a few differences. They're a little smaller and now they don't feel like they get in the way. And this time it feels like they require a little more effort to press them in, which is a good thing to me. I've had way less accidental presses with the new paddles. Like the old Elite, this one includes the same carrying case and braided charging cable, which is great. But you also get the ability to charge your controller while it's in its case thanks to the charger pass-through slot and the charging dock that's included, which is a very welcomed addition. You also get a rechargeable battery included (finally!). However, it is non-removable unless you take the controller apart. You also get 3 on-board profiles plus the default profile that you can change with the press of a button, and of course you store hundreds more on the Xbox accessories app. There are many other new features packed into this controller that you'll have to research yourself, but overall I'd definitely recommend this to anyone that was a fan of the original Elite. Microsoft has pretty much fixed every issue that the first one had and improved on so many things.

The “pro” gamer setup of the controller - the paddles under the controller, swappable joysticks, adjustable triggers contribute to the solid feel of this controller. It has the feel of a premium controller, and rightfully so, considering the price tag attached to the Elite 2. Honestly, this controller isn’t for everyone; if you’re a casual gamer, you can probably save the money. If you’re an avid gamer, and one who plays a lot of first person shooters, give this controller a serious look. And if you have the disposable income - don’t hesitate to pick this controller up. Me personally - I like this controller so much, I’m considering picking another one up as a reserve controller.
