Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the controller's exceptional overall performance, impressive battery life, and extensive customization options. Users also frequently praise the device's comfortable grip, balanced weight, and high-quality tactile feel. However, some customers have expressed concerns regarding the durability of the buttons and bumpers, as well as the early onset of stick drift. Despite these technical frustrations and the premium price point, many still consider it a top-tier gaming accessory.

This is my third elite controller would not by anything else had a scuff controller lasted me a year and a half my leak controllers go for about two maybe three years before I need a new one but if you have the original elite or the elite GEN two controller and the charging kit then For the money getting this controller without the case and the charger considering I already have it made it a great buy

Ive owned a series 2 since its release date, to this day (11/19/24) it still works as new. There is the slightest stick drift but it bothers me none. I play a bunch of COD, Fortnite, and rocket league and it is perfect. I will be getting a new one soon on black friday

Quality controller and is definitely an upgrade from the stock controller that comes with the Xbox. Definitely see a difference in gameplay especially when trying to hold my aim while shooting in warzone. Back pedals are a bit too much for me. Maybe trying using one set at a time and not all four but I’m good with out them

My son was wanting one for a long time. I ordered it online, at a great price. As Christmas got closer, the price went down another $60. I went to the store to her reimbursed for the difference. He loves it!!! Best controller out there!!!

The paddles can easily be bumped due to the small frame of the controller and I’ve had the controller for maybe 1.5 months and already have a drift. I do like the customizable settings like the sensitivity curve etc.

Once You Try It, You Can Never Go Back.

For a 'pro' controller to be $100+ more expensive than it's 'base' equivalent it has some pretty big shoes to fill. Even still, it exceeds expectation. The hardware feels so precise in your hands, and the level of customization leaves very little to be desired. This is a controller that will fit your desired play-style(s) for just about any game and make you want to never pick up the controller that shipped with your console EVER again.

I've had this controller for quite a while now. I love how it is programmable and the feel is nice. However, after a year, the little buttons underneath are not responsive, and the right bumper button is intermittent. Other than that, i like this controller and going to get another one

Tons of great features, but still a flawed design

I want to like this controller. Honestly, I do really like this controller. The problem is that it just doesn't function well. I have tried 4 times to get one that functions correctly, but ultimately the A button is just unlikely to ever function correctly 100% of the time due to a fundamental design flaw with all Xbox One (and probably Series X/S) controllers. Yes, I've tested a fair number of them and disassembled them to find why they aren't working. That's why I'm confident it's a design flaw and not a quality control issue. I'm not entirely sure why it seems to be worse on the Elite Series 2, but it is and it's really frustrating having the button just not register when I press it. Until Microsoft starts caring about their controllers and fixes the problem, I just cannot recommend this controller to people. At $180, it should work flawlessly, but it just doesn't. Who knows, maybe you'll get lucky and everything will line up perfectly such that your specific controller happens to work reliably, but it really shouldn't be a gamble at this price. If you don't mind being unable to reliably actuate buttons (you know, a basic controller function), then this controller is great. It has the smoothest thumbsticks out there, the adjustable tension is awesome, and the back paddles are perfectly positioned. It just feels great, though I wish there was a bit more give to the trigger stops instead of such an aggressively solid stop at the end of the pull.

I had this controller once. I ended up selling it together with my XBOX Series X, but now I'm buying it again. It's the best controller that I ever had. I do have the PS5 Edge, the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and the Razer Wolverine v2 chroma.

This has been the best controller I have ever owned. I can take the buttons apart so I can thoroughly clean it and the grip is just amazing while I'm playing. I usually get sweaty hands while I'm playing games, but with this the controller doesn't slide out of my hand. 10 out of 10. Recommend this controller

My wife purchased this for me for Christmas 2019. I use it as my primary controller for games on the PC where using a controller is easier. Ive put maybe 25 hours of time on it since Christmas and just this week the Right Trigger sticks and starts to register inputs twice. This also happens with the A and Y buttons at times. Thankfully she got me the PSP and I'll be able to get another one, but you'd think that after this being the second iteration of this type of controller, and with all the problems that the Elite 1 had, that MS would be able to get this right. The problem causing the sticking sound with the triggers is a little cushioned pad that at times can relocate itself and flip, so instead of dampening sound when the trigger releases, it instead causes it to stick and make sounds. How could this even pass QC before mass release? Hopefully BestBuy gets more in stock so I can get this replaced soon, as well as MS having fixed this design flaw on their end with the newer releases.
