too small for my fingers to be hitting back small paddles above the longer ones. plus having to buy the accessories separate lol

So, this is a review way over due. My story starts way back in 2015 with the elite 1. The first one broke about 3 months after purchase and I didn't purchase the protection plan...:/ So I youtube how to fix the broken bumper issue, ordered the kit on Amazon and Wallah my Elite controller was fixed. Then about 6months later the left analog stick started to drift and didn't click when pressing. So again I had a useless $150 controller for the second time in one year. I was hesitant at first, but I went ahead and bought another controller, this time with the 2year best buy protection plan. THANK GOD I DID! LOL I went through two more and wound up trading the last one for the elite 2 having my best buy warranty still activate! I was so happy to have the new elite 2 saying to myself, they had to of fixed all the issues with the first generation. They couldn't possibly send out a new one with the same pieces that failed on the first one. Well it's not been 2 months and I have a left analog stick that is useless. To say I am livid is an understatement! Oh and here's the best part. I just found out? Microsoft pulled these things off the shelf because of how much they were failing, but neglected to tell its consumers. All the while they are "fixing the issues" that plagued this controller and will be introducing a 2nd iteration of the elite 2. So I can't even get anther one for who knows how long. I will wait for the second iteration and use my best buy protection plan to get it. I don't think I will be re purchasing the best buy protection plan this time though. If this one breaks, I will be throwing it in the trash and after 5 years it will finally be the end of this insanity!

Controller with nice features. Durability can be hit or miss. Have gone through more than I’d like to have.

I've owned several premium controllers, for both xbox and playstation, and had 3 different elite series 1 controllers. So I was excited to finally upgrade to the series 2. However, I noticed that the right trigger started "creaking" when using the trigger stops after only a few days of use. Not ideal, but that's why I bought the geek squad protection plan - I heard it was great. But, when I tried to arrange service, I needed to make an appointment (understandable, with the pandemic) and it was almost 3 weeks out, and only available at stores farther away. And during days when I wasn't available. Not wanting to wait that long, I decided to take advantage of microsoft's own warranty, boxed it up, sent it back, and just now got the replacement. Only to have the SAME ISSUE happen within an hour. It's now on the way to microsoft again, since Geek Squad is still 3 weeks out for service. Microsoft's warranty is good until October in my case and all I can do is hope that I'll get a working unit by then. I'd return it, but of course now I'm outside the return window. To be clear, it's the product that's the problem, not the service. I understand the decreased operations with the state of the world right now, I just don't like spending $180 ($220 with the 2 year service) for a product that I'm able to use 3 days in a 5 week period.
