DO NOT BUY! Bought this controller and only after 4 months the controller began to experience drift in the thumb sticks. Contacted Microsoft and they offered no support for the defective product since it was out of the warranty which is a measly 90 days. Wanted to charge another $99 just to repair it. For reference both of my regular wireless controllers from launch still work perfectly. Buyer at your own risk.

Got this overpriced brick? You'll be back soon.

What can be said that hasn't already? For every benefit of owning this controller, it'll always be overshadowed by the consistent reminder that this thing WILL FALL APART. If you're buying this my advice is get the warranty or get literally anything else on the shelf. You'll be back. What an absolute piece of junk. Complete waste of money. Even Razer could probably do better.

My left stick broke after only 2 months of use playing Call of Duty. Just finished chemotherapy and only have a 16% immune system so I am restricted to home and can't just run down to the UPS office to send them in. I was shocked to see how cheaply they were made. You could save yourself some grief by taking the time to read the reviews on other sites.

I just picked this up a few hours ago, got home and loaded up some games, and the L3 button doesn't work right. I was hoping these would be better than the V1's, but it's more of the same.

    Read before you buy!

Really didn’t want to believe the reviews I read saying the RB goes funky after a while but it’s true. After a couple months of use my RB barely registers and won’t work at the home screen or during games like cod. It sometimes registers and sometimes hasn’t and the crazy party is the controller has never been dropped. For an $180 controller this is very poor I’m upset that I need to buy a new controller and I just wasted the money on it. A Walmart or cheaper Xbox controller last longer. Buy at your own risk.

Description was for an open box controller. Controller was used as a display and although it’s in good looking condition some of the buttons don’t work well and have to be pushed hard or multiple times to work. Open box seemed like a good deal but not for a broken controller.

Each replacement, faulty out of the box.

Don't waste your money. It might be an amazing controller for a few weeks or less, but does not last. I'm on my 6th replacement, and this time Microsoft finally emailed me and asked if I'd just like a refund instead of a 7th attempt at getting a non-faulty controller. So I'm searching for other controllers with paddles because now I don't want to game without paddles. Maybe the Elite Series 3 will have better QA and build quality.

    Broken and drifting thumbsticks.

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I really wanted to like this controller, it is a great idea concept wise. If the controller worked brand new out of the box it would be 5 stars. The thumbsticks are the issue. The left thumbstick does not click properly as it should so there is little to no feedback if you try to press it in. The right thumbstick gets stuck and will drift. Both thumbsticks bounce in the opposite direction when let go. There is no excuse for any of this with the price of this controller.

very upset. right out of the box my lower right paddle is not responding. iv ran updates, powered on and off, remapped other commands to that paddle and still, nothing. hoped on youtube to watch honest review of the unit and hundreds of people are having similar issues plus other issue. maybe a bad batch. im going to return my today at gamestop. thats where i bought it, and get another one. fingers crossed.

    Terrible investment

Would not recommend, I have already had 2 of these controllers within the past 2 years. The first one had a problem with right bumper and I didn't have it for a year yet. The second one I recently got before the end of 2020 and the left stick has a terrible drift and doesn't even register movement at all. Dont blame Best Buy, blame Microsoft for shoddy craftsmanship and charging $200 for a controller that breaks easily.

Only have had for a few moneths. Constant issues with right and left triggers not working or double clicking. Not the left stick when pushing up does not work unless you push hard. Stick with the regular xbox controllers i have a few of them all the way back to the 360 and they work fine.

    TRASH! COMPLETE DOWNGRADE!

too small. paddles are half the size, less accessories, same cheap plastic molding (especially the bumpers and abxy buttons), cheapest possible materials, the torque is a trash gimmick, complete downgrade from thr original. avoid and hope they redesign. had the original elite with warranty, made me pay the difference for the elite 2, for a downgrade, would take my money back if I could. too bad these reviews go into a black hole.
