Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the product's great overall performance, excellent battery life, and extensive customization options. They frequently praise its comfortable feel, good weight, and comfortable grip. However, a significant concern raised by users is the issue of stick drift, which appears to develop quickly. Bought this as a Christmas gift for my grandson. He's really into gaming and really loves this controller. Says he can do many things that he struggled with before using a regular controller

I've owned 2. Both have stopped working. Updated controllers and been on Microsoft support multiple times to trouble shoot. USB stopped recognizing the second controller. Bluetooth kept disconnecting. The recommendation was to downgrade the controller software via the Xbox console due to the windows upgrade not being compatible with their own freaking ELITE controller. So basically Microsoft makes

Love the controller. The grips do not come off like the series 1 controller. Live the charging dock for the controller. Do not need to worry about changing batteries. If you are a Cbox gamer, this is a must have.

Junk! Failing buttons, won't charge, stick drift

Don't waste your money on this. Microsoft hasn't learned their lesson from the first gen Elite. Plenty of people have issues with stick drift, buttons no longer registering clicks, etc. My controller is about useless right now. First off, I hardly ever use this controller. I bought it for PC gaming, and probably use it once every few months. That said, it's already worthless. - The bumper buttons fail to register unless I slam them - A button often does not register clicks - No longer charges when in the case/dock, have to use USB cable Either I'm lucky for not having stick drift, or it's just because I don't use it often enough. Either way, this controller is not worth the premium. Unfortunately I am past the warranty by one month so I can't send it to Microsoft for repair/replacement. How do ELITE controllers have a shorter lifespan than the vanilla controllers? Having owned an Elite 1 (broken) and Elite 2 (broken), I will never buy another Elite controller even if it has a 5 year warranty, because it's not worth the hassle. I'll be using 8bitdo from now on.

Still Quality Control Issues in 2022

I love everything about this controller when it works but my goodness its 2022 with Microsoft about to launch I white version of this same controller and I am about to exchange this one out for another controller due to problems. In 2020 I bought this controller and out the box it would not register when I pressed the "A" button. I remember thinking well when I can get my hands on the Series X I will try to buy this Elite Series 2 Controller again. Fast forward to Sept 2022 and I have had my Series X for a month now and the controller that came with my Series X does not register the Y button anymore. So I decided to try the Series 2 controller, verified using the Lot number that it was a 2022 manufactured model and came home to test it out. Out the box the "A" would not always be recognized, I noticed in game so I used Xbox Accessories to test out the buttons and sure enough all the buttons work fine and register in the test but the "A" button does not. Back to Best Buy to exchange. Came home with exchanged Elite 2 that had a 2021 lot number and sure enough the "A' and "B" buttons do not register with every press so I am on my way back to the store to exchange again. Stay Tuned...

Stick drift after 1 month with light play. Save your money or buy a scuff controller because I am dissatisfied to a max spending this much money on a terrible product. All I can do is warn others.

Thought this was a good replacement for my Elite 2 I paid full price for. Just move sticks and paddle over. Problem is that the left joystick failed after only 25 days. Play about 2 hours or so every other night with friends. So this had alot less time than my scuf (that still works). I like the weight of the elite controllers. Very disappointed. Got a replacement because I am a Plus customer. otherwise I would be SOL and out $114. Microsoft quality is beginning to suck.
